Congratulations!
When did you apply? Went complete?
The 6th of January? It could have been the 7th.
I went complete immediately because I've had everything ready to go for months. Just needed the December LSAT score, and Irvine (and USC) were the only schools I applied to after my score had come in on the 5th.

The quick turnaround is likely due to the smaller pool of applications the school will be dealing with this year, and the small pool UCI currently receives compared to other institutions (UCLA comes to mind):
Class of 2012: 2741
Class of 2013: 983
Class of 2014: 920
I'd estimate somewhere around 850 this year.
As for those that are still waiting, I'm guessing they just can't guarantee they will respond to applications in order and are doing the best they can.

actually Admissions Dean said the applications were up by 100% compared with last year.. so it's probably a bit more than 850

Wow that was a quick turn around. I applied on 11/30, but my application didn't go complete until after the December LSAT score came out. Hopefully I'll hear back soon!

Well that might be a problem since I'm the source of this info. I walked into her office and asked her about the applications myself. I dunno maybe I could request a transcript of the conversation and post it online???

100% there with you.
I applied early to find out early since for me leaving for law school is a huge shift and loosing a good job. The least they could do is give me an answer. It's been two months so I'll guess wait list or border line or rejection. But still as a CA resident id like to have the option of staying local. Oh well....

My first acceptance of this cycle. Pretty excited. My app went complete on January 6, and accepted January 18. What a quick turnaround.
Edit: stats are 3.72/165. I thought my Why UCI was pretty weak

Who has two thumbs and was super bored today?
This guy!
Hmm...that works better in person...
Anyway, have some free analysis that is more or less accurate.
I took UCI's 2L summer employment info as per their website for the 38 students (out of 60) that took summer employment at law firms, looked up firm sizes, and made a graph.
Maybe it'll be representative of the post-graduate employment for the class of 2012, maybe it wont.
Either way, huzzah.
If I was way off on the firm size, let me know. Most of the info I pulled from their websites, but some of it I pulled from Wikipedia or just by using Google...
Not sure if this goes here or somewhere else or...
...huzzah.

Hi guys, I had a pretty quick turn around too (submitted ~12/20 without my december score and accepted 1/18). Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had a handle of what type of scholarship money I can expect, if any.
Stats: 3.3x, 169
And goodluck to everyone still waiting.

Received a letter today...thought it was the official letter with scholarship info.
It wasn't. It was about housing.

Accepted on 12/23, $15k/year. 165/3.98. Got way better money from San Diego and Pepperdine so I plan on withdrawing, especially cause I don't want my parents info on my FAFSA if it doesn't have to be. So hopefully someone waitlisted will get good news!
