just got an update on my status tracker. Says scholarship letter mailed, but also says decision letter mailed? Ive been accepted for several weeks now and this is the second "decision" update. Anyone know what thats about? Also, what kinds of scholarships are people getting? A big scholly to LSU would probably mean Im going there. thanks in advance for any responses

Checked again this AM. The 2nd "decision letter mailed" is gone now. I was updated to a Louisiana Resident (which I shouldve been all along). So I guess it was just an accidental update

Mine said the same thing. But they had my address wrong so they actually did have to send all of my stuff several times, so Mine may be accurate

Mine said the same thing. But they had my address wrong so they actually did have to send all of my stuff several times, so Mine may be accurate

Yeah I think they just accidentally added that when they sent my scholarship offer. Its gone now.

I still have not gotten a decision and I have been complete since early January. Is this a bad thing? I have already been forced to put a seat deposit down, but I think I would consider LSU if the money was right.

I am in (almost) the same place as you. I have been in review since 3/14, but am having to put a seat deposit down next week at another school if I don't hear back this week.

I guess we're just going to lose our deposits if we go to LSU. I just think its weird the amount of time they are taking on my file.

I've been complete since 12/6/2011. LSU is taking a long time!!

Yes! I received an email invite to the scholarship dinner, but have not yet received anything regarding a scholarship. Do you think we will find out our scholarship/amount that night? I will probably call and ask them later this week.

Nope. I checked pretty often, but never noticed it change.

I would either email or call the admissions office and ask about it. They are really nice and I'm sure they would let you know.

Nope still in review as of 3/14. Gonna be hard to choose LSU (if I am accepted) over where I paid my seat deposit as of right now, but I would still give LSU a strong consideration.

How so? I couldn't attend the dinner, unfortunately, since I'm not living in the area right now, but it'd be nice to know what sold you...they've been pretty disorganized with me lately an I've been wondering if I made the wrong choice

Nothing really specific. I was about 95% sure on LSU before the dinner, the dinner just pushed me over the edge. I really liked the overall atmosphere and the friendliness of all of the professors and student ambassadors that I got a chance to talk with. They seemed to answer all of my questions openly and honestly. I get the feeling that the professors genuinely care about their students. All of my interactions with everyone at the law center so far have been positive experiences. I also get the feeling that Chancellor Weiss is really moving LSU Law in the right direction. Needless to say, I am really excited about the next 3 years!
