Waitlisted as of today. Ah well, at least it's not a flat-out rejection.

Nothing like going to the gym after work, checking your email before getting dinner, and seeing a congrats email

Got rejected. 170 lsat and sub 3.0 gpa.
A little taken aback. Obviously with my gpa, I'm not surprised that any school might reject me. It's my hometown, so it would've been a serious consideration. Fortunately, my first result of the cycle was an acceptance a week earlier.

Waitlisted as of 1/27. 161 lsat and 3.3 GPA. I'm a non-traditional student, so I don't know if that hurt my chances. I graduated from UT in 2004 with an Advertising degree and have been doing marketing/advertising for the last eight years.
I realllly want to get in here. It is my first choice of schools because I'm from Houston and my family and many of my friends are there.
Any advice? When will the waitlisted people know if they are in or out?

I'm not sure if this will make you feel better or worse but I have very similar stats and just got in with a slightly higher GPA. My point being - you are RIGHT there! If I had been waitlisted I planned on sending a LOCI (to let them know "HEY Im still here and I'm still interested in YOU!") and an additional letter of recommendation directly to the school. However, I'm really not sure of the best timing to send those.turbostar66 wrote:Waitlisted as of 1/27. 161 lsat and 3.3 GPA. I'm a non-traditional student, so I don't know if that hurt my chances. As for when they accept waitlisted folks - I would say all the way through the summer unfortunately. The squeaky (polite) wheel gets the oil so let them know you're still here!
My thoughts for what its worth!

Congrats everyone who was accepted! I was wondering why I never got an acceptance e-mail, did anyone else get one that was accepted early January?JRSims22 wrote:Admitted via e-mail. Confirmed on Status Checker. : )

I applied on 1/4/2012 and was admitted via e-mail Friday night (1/27). I don't know if they send out replies in bulk or individually though.mtyler19 wrote:Congrats everyone who was accepted! My status checker says Waitlisted, but I never received an email confirmation of it. Any other WL's care to chime in?

Has anyone else seen that update they just posted on the bottom of the status checker?? Maybe if you emailed people and let them know you somehow didn't get the residency form, they would return them faster!

Do you have the status checker app? That used to bother me soo bad, when something insignificant changed and the alert went off, I'd get excited then it was nothing.apeopleshistory wrote:So disappointed that this was an update and not a decision.mtyler19 wrote:Has anyone else seen that update they just posted on the bottom of the status checker??
