Re: Texas 2011-2012 Applicants
Reapplying for the final time this cycle and said I'd stay away from TLS this time smh. Clearly I failed lol.
In at UTexas today via phone call. If I get the same deal as last year, I'll probably end up there. No mention of money during my call but there was no mention last year either and I ended up with instate + $7500 so we'll see.
Nice touch that she remembered me and the reason I didn't attend last year & asked how my new little one was doing!

Re: Texas 2011-2012 Applicants
I just got my status checker and it says ED on it, not sure if I am
I originally planned to be ED but I ended up submitted at like 2 AM on November 2nd so missed the deadline
I'm guessing they might have some forgiveness on date (I saw posts by people who just missed it as well) so figured I'd post this
Not sure it matters that much since it is non-binding, but hopefully it means I'll hear back soon

I attempted to solicit for one and this is the response I received
Dear Mr. XXXXXXX,
Our application fee waivers are need-based only. If you plan to request a fee waiver, please do not apply electronically through LSAC. You will be required to pay the application fee with a credit card, and we do not issue refunds.
You will find our application for fee waiver and the JD application form on the web site noted below. From the Admissions link, click on the link for application forms. This is where you will find the links to download both applications. Please fill them out and mail them both, together, to the address noted on the application form. The deadline to apply for a fee waiver is November 11, 2011.
Thank you for your interest in The University of Texas School of Law.
Respectfully,
XXXXXXX
