While I think it is fun to follow the application season like it is fun to follow your team for an entire baseball season, no one should stress too much about this stuff. As in baseball, one game or one bit of news (or lack thereof) may shed a tiny bit of light on final outcome of the season, but you shouldn't read too much into it.
For example, I got in to UVA last week w/ a Dean's Scholarship, but have been "complete; waiting for review" from Duke since 9/20. Initially I thought maybe something was wrong with my application at Duke since people who submitted later have been hearing back for a while now, but since I submitted virtually the same application to UVA it now seems safe to conclude that there can't be anything fatally wrong with my app.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride. If your numbers are good enough to make you think you have a decent shot at Harvard, then you will almost certainly end up going somewhere enviable.

I'm sure all of our files are under consideration, maybe even under active consideration:
James Hacker: What's the difference?
Bernard Woolley: Well, 'under consideration' means we've lost the file; 'under active consideration' means we're trying to find it.

Still not under review...I didn't apply until late last Friday. It's worthless to try to read anything into the date you go under review, right? Aren't apps just reviewed in order?

besides mum, who else can confirm this?Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Several of us have been admitted to Duke PT and UVA has rolled out a handful of RD decisions already. All people admitted RD so far, from what I can tell, received a 75-90k scholarship as well.

That wouldn't be the reason you haven't gotten into UVA.thederangedwang wrote:yeah checked it thanks all. just kinda worried now that i screwed up on softs somehow cuz i submitted the same time u guys did and have same stats and still havent heard back....

no, but i had a uva specific LOR which shoulda went into at least a page in length of detail of why i wanted to go to uva...so, my recommender should have covered that base for me..but no, i didnt write a why uvafreestallion wrote:Did you write a why UVA?thederangedwang wrote:yeah checked it thanks all. just kinda worried now that i screwed up on softs somehow cuz i submitted the same time u guys did and have same stats and still havent heard back....

well there you go, that's your answer. the rest of us wrote a why UVA or had uva-specific info in our essays.

Hush. Saying stuff like that makes me doubt myself because I'm a point below LSAT median. We're both getting in because we're awesome. End of storyHawkeye Pierce wrote:Lol, no I'm not. I'm slightly below GPA median.Curious1 wrote:Why not? You're at both medians.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Ugh yeah, same here. A couple people get in every year with my numbers but I'm not holding my breath.freestallion wrote:I'm not holding my breath since I'm below the GPA median but rooting for you all
ETA: Also looking at last year's thread, it seems like they went in order of submission when sending JR emails. So probably those who submitted on 9/15 will start hearing first!

Under review. Submitted 9/15.
I'm guessing the first wave of interview invites will go out next week sometime...
