Paid the seat deposit. Is anyone looking for a roommate? I was looking at some nicer places as my budget can accomodate it with the low prices of Lubbock.

Not exactly sure yet. The Tech website has some apartment websites.

I received a waitlist letter a couple of weeks ago. However, when I checked online it says under Summer Entry Consideration. Has anyone seen this before? Does it mean I'm being considered for both?

No go on additional scholarship atm. I received a very nice and informative email response though.

Did anyone receive a phone call this afternoon from someone at Tech? I moved back to with the 'rents to save some $ right before school, and someone from Tech called their house. My mom gave her my work number, but didn't take down her name and number....and I haven't heard from the mysterious Tech caller at my work or cell number. Help?! I wouldn't even know who to ask for if I tried calling admissions. Maybe they're having current students call applicants...? I've heard that some schools do that right around deposit deadlines.

Looks like I'm heading to tech for sure now barring some unforeseen change. Now hopefully retaining my scholarship won't be an issue and then I'll be sitting with very little debt at graduation. See everyone in the fall.

it's between tech and one other school, but i'm leaning towards tech. i've just been spoiled living in the awesome city of austin the past 4 years and kinda scared about heading to lbk, although i suppose i won't have time outside of studying to do much around town anyway

I'm from a small town but that is the way I view it. Less things to distract me will help me do better with my grades.

Got in off the WL on 4/8. Now, they offered me a $5k scholarship today contingent upon me staying in the top half of my class. It's pretty much going to be impossible to turn Tech down.

I feel like I should be greedy and ask for even more money since they are giving decent size amounts to people off the waitlist. I really hope tuition doesn't increase 25% like they are expecting.

TPEG is offered but how much is available will depend on the budget passed by the State Legislature. The only fed loans available are Sub/Unsub Federal Direct Loans and Federal Direct GradPlus Loans.

Glad you got a partial scholarship.

Last year no one, that I am aware of, on the WL got a scholarship. I had what I thought was at least 1/2 scholarship numbers and got squat.
