Under review now. I'm a big fan of the clearly outlined timeline that Dean Pless is giving us. It's kept me from obsessing over the status checker, and it's nice to know I'll have a decision in a week.

You got a 163 virtually cold and have a 3.9 without the big C. I'm pretty sure you're the intimidating one.

I'm not sure of the grading curve, but my best friend went to U of I for undergrad. The weather sorta sucks as its super hot and humid in the summertime and gets very cold and snowy in the winter, but that's to be expected from anywhere in the Midwest. Housing is PLENTIFUL and expect to pay around $450-700 for a 1 bedroom. It's a super fun campus and there is always something going on.
I realllllllllllllllllllllllllly hope that in a couple weeks, I'll have an acceptance to and can be worrying about housing!!
Congrats to all who are accepted/ WLed! Its a great program and an awesome school!

Thanks!! My boyfriend is coming with me and hoping to find employment-- but we definitly want a house, as we have 3 animals. We can put a down payment and pay a mortgage or rent (prefered). We pudget around 1200-1400 for a house payment/rent.

$1400 for a house? I'm paying a few bucks shy of that for a 900 ft^2 apt. I love California.

That should definitely be feasible especially if you rent.

No, my post was actually a witty commentary on the one-upmanship that was taking place ITT.

Comparing property pricing is not a one-uping game, really, but ok

Although an ornate villa sounds awesome and I now want one. love the tar. I imagine everything that you say in the voice of H. Jon Benjamin!

One of my friends (female) who went to U of I played rugby all 4 years and was really into it. The team looked pretty big.

Nice. I grew up on the pitch-- my dad coaches the local highschool team, was captain of GA tech and played in france. My boyfriend is captain of our UG team and on the South team also. Must be rugby
