EA??

I was EA and Part-time (2.5 (eek, bad I know)/168). Also applied for the "Special Admissions Policy" but not sure how much it helps though. I applied last year as well with the Special Admissions Policy thing and didn't get in (got waitlisted). I don't think it makes a HUGE difference, but that is just my opinion.

Did anyone who has been accept opt for a review by the Special Admissions committee? I checked for review due to minority and economic disadvantages and would be curious as to whether you think that had a significant impact on your app.

I think it had a pretty significant impact.

I talked about growing up LGBT in a small town, and then my volunteer work with EQCA (one of the groups trying to get Prop 8 repealed). Definitely utilize SA if you can.

numbers share for those who are in? I'm 164, 2.9 and worried when I read that "Santa Clara values GPA more than LSAT because it reveals what student is capable of."

Decision letter was sent today... to those who got in... when your letter was sent did it put deposits numbers for you or no??

Nope. Deposits show up when status changes to "Admitted."

Seems like for the first round of acceptances, their status checker said "Letter Sent" on 11/10, "Admitted" on 11/15 but they didn't get their acceptance letters until about the 18th or after.

For the second round of acceptances, mine said "Letter sent" on 11/24, but I got the formal acceptance letter in the mail and "Admitted" status online, both on the same day, 12/2. Apparently, other admits experienced the same.

Looks like it's different for every batch. No real pattern, I guess. (This is for the Early Action kids, btw)

If it seems insanely late, just call the admissions office saying something like... "I noticed my online status says my decision letter was sent about a week ago, and I'm just calling to confirm whether it was sent out since I haven't received anything in the mail yet." That's what I did, and they're pretty nice about it.

"Give us a call by the end of the week if you haven't gotten anything. Good luck!" is what the woman told me verbatim, just to let me know to expect something very soon. Turned out the letter came the day after I called. I'd wait for a week to contact them after the checker says the letter was sent. It doesn't seem like they actually send them out the same day they update the online checker anyway.

I submitted my application right before Nov 1st but saw that the option "application for early admission" was unavailable, so I applied thru regular admission and mention in the personal statement that I am applying for early admission. My LSDAS report delivery was delayed by thanksgiving (although the school did receive it before Nov 30th), and today finally see that my status is in committee but then I got the news that I've been put into regular admission process, not early action.

Does this happen to anyone in this forum?
