feel your pain, I have two schools that have been "complete" since early December.

That is the worst status. Luckily for me, all of mine are now in review, or in a 2nd review, or a 3rd. The changing review dates can really get at you.

my loyola went into initial review yesterday i was like WTF? i mean theyve had it for lil over 2 months and i get initial review. wanted to die

For the most part did yall all find out by status checker, or were you patient and found out thru email?

for all schools considered, I found it probably 70% status checker and 30% email or letter. STCL (obviously from previous posts on this thread) was status checker first, then an email.
I can't give a certain, tangible, confirmation of this, because I only applied to 22 schools, but it seems like when most schools say "decision sent via mail" it was typically a rejection. Also you can sometimes "cheat" by seeing changes in the seat deposit amounts and also from the accepted student website.

Yeah, I've had two schools that changed the status to "Decision sent via mail" or "Decision sent via email" and they were both rejections.

My only acceptance has come in a big envelope in the mail. Felt good to have that under my belt
and the three i got through email were rejections.

Roughly 15 or so were free, of course the $12 fee applied. But if you consider the impact of getting in with $$$$ and using that to negotiate THOUSANDS, it will pay for itself many times over.

I applied to 20 schools, all had fee waivers, but the life of a URM splitter means that it now appears that a lot of them were a waste of the $12. Although if I get some more acceptances I'll try the negotiation game.

Yeah but from what I have read, URM AND Splitter cycles can be very difficult to predict (both good and/or bad) so I'd apply to TONS, which looks like you did.

lol lets do it. Im too lazy to join 100 different threads for all these schools i applied and i was pokin around here one day, and im sick of not hearing anything so im pretty settled now

Yeah, I basically threw an app at any school where my LSAT was somewhere near their 25th percentile based on that theory, which most likely explains my poor cycle so far.

Haha, I almost sent a personal statement intended for WUSTL to Minnesota. I'm so glad they make you review your app before you submit it.

I probably didnt apply to enough schools, i really just tried to keep it local i wanna go to school where im gonna live. Keep it in the dirty south

I just wrote one, then personalized a paragraph for each school.

No, they just all go to the inbox. Which makes me jump every time I see Gmail (1).

I use my LSU email address for my lsac stuff or whatever so the only stuff that goes to that email is LSU alumni garbage and law school info so i as well freak everytime i see 1 new email (typically lsu asking me for money, just spent 5 years paying these turds and ive been out for a year and they already want my money lol)

It's not so much Tech, since I like the school itself, but rather Lubbock. I lived there for a couple years when I was a kid, and I have no desire to ever live there again. I really only applied there since it would be free if they had admitted me.
