FWIW, when I talked to the Dean of Admission, he said that he will take a more conservative approach on the first couple waves of decision. Although from what happened last week, I think you will get rejected without the numbers unless you have a compelling story like Barbie ( I read her PS). So, people don't get disappointed if you don't hear back until December, and if you get rejected, remember W&L has a very small class size (only about 130, I think), don't get discouraged.

How does that mean its a ding? They are putting out their last pre-Thanksgiving decisions now. That means they likely do not have a decision on your app yet.

I dont understand how it can be bad. If they were going to reject you they would just have rejected you...if you aren't notified 'til after Thanksgiving then it means you weren't part of this groups decisions...which would indicate to me that they haven't yet made a decision on your application.

Got the same e-mail as well, and I will try to be positive to not let this ruin my holiday break.
