Can you prove your source is credited, or will it out them?
Thanks for the info. If I knew I had UNC in my pocket I would immediately withdraw most of my applications.

Looks from the above, though, that at least one OOSer is 'under review' too. Any ideas how they will be choosing which files to review when? I'm still 'ready to review' and so still anticipating a long wait...

I am so excited that I went under review this week (in-state), good luck to everyone else and hopefully there will not be a seriously long wait.

+1
IS and complete since 12/21. I had a decision at W&L in less time than it took to go complete at UNC. Just WL me already so I can go from one uncertainty to the next.

Yeah, uncertainty is the right word for this process. UVa and UNC are my top choices. I couldn't believe I got WL with my LSAT (thought it was an auto-ding), so I am pleasantly surprised, though I believe it was a soft rejection. If I'm not happy with this cycle, I've decided I'll retake and reapply next cycle.

Good to know they are not just hating on out of staters. If I got in I could withdraw out of almost everywhere else. Damn waiting game.

+1. I'm still "ready for review," FWIW. Applied early December (but have since updated my application with fall semester grades).

I don't want to out my source. You'll have to take my word for it, unfortunately.

1/31/2011 Finally Under Review
Maybe what one of the previous posters said is correct. Maybe we can expect a big round of Admissions Decisions some time soon...

In the same boat, I don't think they are reviewing in the order received. My guess is that they must be sorting by numbers...?

If I remember correctly I have numbers quite a bit higher than Mr.Thomas but he is an URM... so I have no idea what they are doing.

...depressing, I just wish they would hurry. At this point I don't even care what the decision is...just put me out of the misery of waiting so I can move on with my life. Sorry, waiting since November has made me melodramatic lol. Good luck to those under review!

ditto. I'd prefer my rejection now instead of later, thanks.

Ya, I am not yet Ready for Review either. I am willing to bet they place their applications in order of LSAT/GPA combination, so submitting earlier does jack. I am an OOS with a 163. I could be waiting for awhile.

From what I understand, UNC does a W&M-like "rolling" admissions. They admit/deny clear admit/deny decisions and hold the rest until the applicant pool is more complete.

I'd still rather be rejected now than later haha.

If all they were going to do was review the high LSATs and GPAs first, why did it take them this long to start reviewing?

I talked to some people in the discuss your school thread, and some were accepted in december. They said they started, then stopped, and are starting back uo again. Weird.
What kind of stats do you have for next day acceptance?

I'm curious too. The poster also was accepted at Penn so they must be pretty strong.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
