Submitted 1/31, went under review 2/2, 3.35/160 out of state non-URM. Do you think there's any way I hear back within the next couple weeks? Or will it probably be around March?

Hard to say. Those are good numbers for TN as a URM, so that might sort of slingshot you to the front of the line. I am oos with similar numbers but non URM. I've been waiting since mid december. TN has been fairly quiet here lately, so it is hard to determine exactly what they are doing.

The person is also non URM. Since you're OOS and the numbers don't stand out, I think your chances aren't great b/c you applied so late. But if you are from a state that's not really represented at Tennessee or something else stands out you have a better shot.

I didn't get that one today. I think I got something similar about a month ago though... I really wish law schools would spend less time emailing us with useless info and more time reviewing apps.

UT has such a unique ap it would be impossible for them to YP, so I'm assuming in state is a huge bonus. otherwise I think I would be in.. at any rate this doesn't bode well for scholarships.

I think I read on their website something about them having to accept at least 60% TN residents, so I guess that is a bonus.

Yeah. I'm in state. Right at 25th for LSAT and right at 75th for GPA. I'd be thrilled to get in

Yeah. I'm in state. Right at 25th for LSAT and right at 75th for GPA. I'd be thrilled to get in

Hopefully they will release more decisions soon, it seems that for the most part everyone admitted got phone calls fairly early, but it has been relatively quiet ever since.

Good luck to you too man. I'm expecting a waitlist, but you seem pretty close to an admit. I'm prepared to bombard them with LOCIs if that's the case. But seriously, how much would it blow to get rejected from your home state's flagship university after getting accepted to peer/higher ranked schools OOS? I've probably spent enough cash in Neyland to single handedly fund some out of stater's scholarship.

You check out LSN? It's self reported, so you can't tell how many exactly, but you can tell they haven't sent out a flood of acceptances or denials in a good while.

According to the status checker heading,

"During this review process you may see your status remain the same but the date change. This happens as your application moves through the review process. When a decision has been made you will be notified as quickly as possible."
