You cannot interview anymore. I was told interviews were over in like early December.

Visited after being WLd and though they no longer "interviewed" I met with an admissions officer. I did interview with alum when applying though.TheBigMediocre wrote:Interviewed and visited.primusux wrote:Has everyone here interviewed?

Re: Vandy Wait List
I was out of the country and missed the deadline by like a day. They had no sympathy so I missed the interview date. I did however, visit and get some time with Mrs. Christina. She was very nice. I felt bad since she had to give me the tour around campus; she's probably in her third trimester of pregnancy! Admissions is a tough job for someone "with child!"Matteliszt wrote:Has everyone here interviewed?

Wish I knew where I was on the waitlist. Numbers wise i'd imagine i'm right on the border. Maybe they just don't like me

Re: Vandy Wait List
I JUST sent an LOCI and what I gathered from the response was that they've only offered admittance to a VERY select group of the WL at this point. They foresee more WL, Accepts throughout the summer .. So don't despair too badly! They also are fairly adamant that if you are let in it will be without any scholarship (no funds available) so there is that to enter into consideration.delBarco wrote:Wish I knew where I was on the waitlist. Debatable, and highly case specific. 200+k is a lot of money ..primusux wrote: Worth sticker though, dont you think?

+1. Vandy only offered me $10k per year. For me, that equals the amount of additional loan money I have to take out for childcare costs. Meanwhile, I received a full ride at Iowa. Vanderbilt is higher ranked, but it still isn't T10 or even T14... I'm still debating whether $200k+ in debt is worth and Vandy degree. Much more pressure to land a biglaw job. So, most likely I will go to Iowa.... that means Vandy will at least have an additional $30k to hand out

I can't log in to my LSN (sessions problem!?), but I've withdrawn from Vandy. Good luck to all those still waiting.

Missvik is right, highly case specific. I have about 80k in the bank for school, so Vandy is a good investment for me with its NLJ placement. I think if you aren't getting a scholly or have money in the bank its a very hard decision.

Re: Vandy Wait List
I guess when comparing it to my other options it seems like a better investment, even at sticker. Both in terms of job prospects, national portability, and name recognition for the future. Talking about going from the 30's to Vandy at 17. I don't know, seems to make sense to me. *shrug*Matteliszt wrote:Missvik is right, highly case specific. Just go into PI and have the gov. pay back most of your loans for you! I'm on the IB/ICR 10 year forgiveness plan through and through!missvik218 wrote:Debatable, and highly case specific. 200+k is a lot of money ..primusux wrote: Worth sticker though, dont you think?

See how much this particular plan will let you earn. A lot of schools if you earn more than like 50k wont let you do loan repayment..

Re: Vandy Wait List
Just curious- how is everybody dealing with finding housing at the school they are going to if not vandy while trying to hold out for a wl decision? I'm thinking of trying to lock into a lease last minute (if I don't get taken off before the end of july- how hard is it to break a lease in case you or I am one of the people who may be pulled off the wl, say, the day school starts or something-
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
