Oh Jesus. I may need to take the rest of the day off to properly react to the news if that is indeed what it is. Thanks bloodonthetracks.

Thanks owhlcn. Will report back after lunch. On second thought, maybe just watch the news for the naked drunk man streaking through the streets of LA.

Congrats oso84!

Do they call 1 person per day?

To clarify: this isn't me, :( , though he is my numbers twin! :) (which means little for Yale, I realize)

HA! Yeah, take the rest of the day off. You're certainly not going to get any work done this afternoon!

Congrats :)

Congrats new admits! Yale is really moving right now :D

Also, just got my financial aid award from the FAO. Not the greatest finaid package in the world, but certainly not bad!

It looks as though each batch is quite small, considering the number of batches. Maybe they just call 4 or 5 people a day?

Sometimes they call to ask questions on your file rather than to make an offer, so don't jump to conclusions.

They say that they do this, but has anybody actually experienced it?

Details? (I totally believe you, I'm just curious to know what kinds of things trigger a call).

PM received. It appears that Yale does indeed call folk to clarify things on one's application.

So at about 1 pm PST, I got ANOTHER phantom call from a 203-432-XXXX number that was NOT the law school. It was a different number than the missed call I got on Saturday (though it was similar; the last four digits were the same, just in a different order). The phone only rang twice before the person on the other end hung up so I never got to speak to whomever was on the other end of the line.

I'm beginning to think this is a prank of some kind - I just can't figure out who is on the other end.

Unlikely, that's not a Yale number.
