do they do a big wave of rejects via surprise emails or is it strictly DLS to rejection letter?
status checker still hasn't been updated since november...a steady show of indifference.

Phew. Still "submitted for review". Getting waitlisted by Michigan today was enough bad news for the day.

you should definitely go. I live in Berkeley and Palo Alto is like a 50 minutes away via public transit. seem's like theres not much tradeoff, and you'll just see another impressive west coast campus
What public transit is that? I would be very surprised if you could get from one campus to the other in less than an hour and a half on public transit. I would call anything under 2 hours a success.

You could take Caltrain. I think that's at least a 75-minute trip from SF plus the 30~ minutes it would take you to get from Berkeley to SF on BART.

That's what I figured the quickest route would be. Not to mention the transfer to Caltrain is a good 15 minute walk from BART. I didn't know if there was some other option down the East Bay since the Caltrain route wouldn't be anywhere near 50 minutes.

If you time it correctly, BART to Union City + Dumbarton Express can be faster; the Dumbarton Express also drops you off at the top of the Oval.
If you have to take Caltrain, catching a Baby Bullet will save you like half an hour.

Anyone have an estimate on how many seats are left and/or how long someone who went under review in late January would have to wait for a decision?

mylsn.info. Just visually estimating, P(April) > P(February) + P(March) + P(May) would indicate that you are by far the most likely to receive your decision in April, though February, March, and May are not unheard of.

There are about 170 admitted people in the Facebook group. There are probably about 60 or so who don't have accounts/ didn't want to join the group. And depending on when the director of admissions sent out the link to the newest wave, there are probably a few others who haven't joined the group yet. So I would estimate that maybe 2/3 of the class has been admitted. I could be terribly wrong though.

I was accepted on 2/7 and still haven't received the link, so it's likely that all those accepted from at least the 7th aren't in the group yet.
Edit- I lied, I received the email, it just got filtered since it was from Facebook!

There are 2 rejections reporting on LSN in the past few minutes. Anyone have news on those? Are they just checking their mail form Saturday or is there a new wave of unfortunate DLSs?

Is this group also for LLMs?
I never thought of that.

Something else to consider is that quite a few people in the Facebook group are deferrals from last year (based on the comments I've seen and the dates they joined the group).
