For those of you in FR#1 that checked their inbox multiple times during this morning's bloodbath, I perused last year's FR/Waitlist thread. In last year's FR1 there was a trickling of acceptances but actually quite a few on Wednesday and Thursday. One poster even described on her Thursday call with Dean Tom expressing that she thought it was all over already. Don't give up hope until you get the ding. Then, regardless, at least we'll have finality (unless its a WL).

It also seemed like the majority of acceptances were via phone starting as early as 12:30 pst

Honestly more pissed off that they dragged this out for over three months than I am at the actual ding itself, although I know many of you experienced the same thing as well

GPA: 3.74/Berkeley GPA 3.83 (I transfered to Berkeley)
LSAT: 167 (no retakes)

Seemed like a relatively speedy decision.....

Is it just me, or does it appear to most of the rejections handed out today are being given to those applicants that didn't get selected for FR1?

I went UR: 1/25 and still have not heard anything. No FR either.

Someone who got UR 2/7 got the ding today. I assume they are taking our applications into consideration....whatever that might mean. They might send out more decisions later today.

Pretty sure the poster just means regular review. Berkeley doesn't "hold" applications, I don't think.
