Hey if you want it really bad and you kill 1st year at CLS, perhaps you could transfer over after 1L?

I'm not sure it's worth the benefit though, considering what I would have to give up if I transfer. Anyway, I'd be happy with graduating from Columbia. It's just the weather I'm concerned about, but it'll work out.

Hey do you guys think I should send in a LOCI? I mean I sent in an informal 2 paragraph update on Why I would like to attend SLS, because I hadn't quite addressed it in the PS. Would the LOCI be alright? I'm sorry all these DLS's are making me desperate

Not necessarily. I have a feeling there are still plenty of acceptance offers to go out before waitlists.

Haha thanks, but my best soft is my upward grade trend...so... yeah. I guess we'll see. Staying in California would be really nice (oh so weak to weather SoCal'er here). Too many intimidating 3.9+'s combined with a dearth of sub 3.9 acceptances on LSN has made me put eggs in other baskets.

Right now, they're pretty much accepting "auto-admits" - I'd bet that they'll still have close to half of the class to fill by the time they're done with their first wave of dings. So in the second wave of acceptance, you'll be compared to people with sub-3.9 GPA's. Don't worry.
