The problem is that I still have the dilemma. There's no guarantee that a Harvard education will financially make up for the significantly higher debt. I'm looking for thoughts from someone who might be in a similar situation.

1) This probably isn't the right thread for this conversation.

TITCR. This thread is for applicants awaiting or sharing news about the cycle. If you've gotten in already, there are other threads for that, or you can make your own. Those options are better places to get those kind of answers anyway.

Sincere request: Do not post things like "Ok after a Monday with JR2s, a Tuesday with a lot of decisions followed" or any kind of realistic predictions, because I started thinking admissions follows this thread to effectively troll us. (Oh hey, they are saying its probable we release the decisions today, Jack, just stall that batch for a day will you?)

Worrrrrd, I've been flinching every time my Gmail tab shows (+1), only to have it not be HLS.

And the last culprit was Notre Dame Law School reminding me that their deadline is 2/15!!!!!!

I'm a African-American male, graduated from Columbia with a 3.3, scored 165 on the LSAT, am a member of Teach for America, and am currently earning my M.Ed. with a 3.9.
I have a lot of leadership and impressive work experience and want to pursue a career in social justice with my JD.

I just got finished with my JR1 and I'm not sure what to think.

I was fairly nervous in the beginning (JR's mood actually calmed me down eventually), but I'm afraid that I didn't communicate as clearly as I wanted my answers to his questions of "Why law?" and "Why HLS?"

Did I just ruin my chances of receiving a JR2?

Nah, don't sweat it. People often feel this way after the JR1.

Nah man, don't worry. The interview isn't really a make or break situation, barring something really unfortunate or rude happening.

Man, not held yet but I ll seriously struggle with LOCI when / if I do get held. (Although I applied only to Harvard, so I guess they would just assume my interest continues eh? )

How do they know you only applied to Harvard?

In my PS, there is a sentence like "which is one of the reasons I applied only to Harvard" and due to the speed with which schools can blacklist you in case of an ED violation, I have a sneaking suspicion that LSAC reports all your applications to schools.

LSAT doesn't really have to report it, it's already easily marked in your applicant history, since all application materials originate at LSAC. They can easily share (I mean 30 seconds easy) if the member schools want to share.

Nope, not held either, one of the "forgotten". I expect some movement in this week, at least a hold, we will see

Well yes, I do have a good reason and not related at all to being cocky, however didn't adequately mention it in my initial application, so if they do not ding me without a hold but hold instead, I will inform them about it in LOCI.

Top schools communicate with each other about ED and also about who's on their WLs after June 15, but as far as I know that's it, and it's not through LSAC.

I've heard of people getting answers back as soon as one week.

Is this often the case?
