Re: Wake Forest 2010
Alas, I have withdrawn. I could not justify sticker price at the end of the day. I know Wake would have been a great fit and it saddens me to be elsewhere but I had to make the most financially responsible decision (which I mentioned in my withdrawal email hoping to get a last minute offer haha). It has been cool chatting with you all and I wish you the best of luck.

Anyone know if the seat deposits being there or not being there at this point means anything? At one school, it wasn't there, and I got waitlisted. Didn't know if Wake was similar.

DLP April 15th as well. I also have info still in the "Fees" field so I'm curious about this too.Bedsole wrote:Me.uganik wrote:Anyone out there with a "Decision Letter Pending" April 15th message on status checker?

Hi, I just found out that I was waitlisted at WFU. It is my top choice. Any ideas on what to do to sway them? I am from NC and would love to get back down there. I would practice in the state. Any advice is welcome! Thanks!

Send a loci and updated resume asap. Also, you might want to send them an email asking if there is anything else you could include that would be helpful for them. Good luck!

I assumed you were talking about the miami hurricanes.
Is anyone else planning on pulling for their UG when they play Wake? I guess unless you went to another ACC school it's not much of an issue

It physically hurts me, but I'm withdrawing as well. I just can't pay sticker when I know I'm capable of scoring higher on the LSAT. I hope one of you gets my spot. Go Demon Deacs!

Wake Forest is wait list number FOUR for me. I'm also wait listed at Emory, BC, and William and Mary. Does anyone know what the chances are of getting off any wait lists this year? I'm an undergrad at BC but I'd be happy at any of the four I'm still waiting on. Here's to hoping at least one will admit me.

Well deposits are due at Wake today so I'm sure some spots will be opening up shortly. Hopefully you'll be one of them!

Ahhh I wish I was going to Wake Forest. After receiving my withdrawal letter (with my intent to reapply next year), they said to be sure and email for a fee waiver.

Haha, thanks. I've got a deposit down at Pitt right now, but I would love to stay in NC. GL at W&L (assuming you didn't get in at UVA, even though I hope you did).sailgclass wrote:Just withdrew. Hopefully bedsole gets my spot. Sorry, had to play hometown favorites.

Wake is up from 40 to 38
My other choice dropped from around 90 to Tier 3 .. really glad I made the right decision!

Yeah, that would be tough if both schools were in the same conference. Not an issue for me.minkins wrote:You forgot Clemson!!wakemeup wrote:Best basketball and the potential for the best football. Re: Wake Forest 2010
Just got into Winston-Salem about an hour ago. We drove around for a bit looking for where the bars/restaurants are that students usually frequent, but gave up after like 15 minutes and just got Taco Bell. We did drive out to the campus though to check out how the "gated campus" thing worked. It is exactly what you think - there is a country club looking entrance and a guard at a booth that basically lets you in or turns you away. The guard on duty couldn't let us in, but he was really nice and pointed us in the direction of food. I guess there is a guard on duty from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, otherwise it sounds like people are free to come and go.
Going to bed, I'll let you guys know how the visit/class/campus is tomorrow night if I get a minute. I'll try and take some pictures and post them later too.

Re: Wake Forest 2010
I had my first law school dream last night. It was pretty freaky. Im not quite sure why the anxiety is starting already.... WF hooked it up with a sweet schedule for me though - i was pretty happy about it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
