Interviewed earlier this week. I got the invitation a couple weeks ago and was complete in early January.
Oh hey, it's been a while.

Thanks, I was hoping my location might excuse me.
I know! Hope things are going well for you :D
I guess they only tend to interview borderline and YP applicants, so it's totally possible to get accepted without an interview. But if not, it was pretty cool anyways. I enjoyed it

Thanks. Aside from being basically kicked out of LA things have been going surprisingly well. Hope you're doing well, too.

Yeah I've heard it's a nice experience, it's just hard for me to find time and I don't want to be forced to decline.

I interviewed almost three weeks ago, and Dean Cornblatt said he will get back to us within 2 weeks.
It doesn't bode well, right? :(

I just think it means they're still considering your app - it's not good or bad.

Sorry if this has been brought up, but when should we start hearing about merit aid?

Same here. I'm hoping it means we're still being considered

Hey! Have you gotten accepted already? I'm trying to figure out if they're holding onto my application so they can decide about PILS.

Waitlisted after being held in January as well. Will most likely not be staying on it. Good luck all!

Heh, I had a miscommunication with my LOR person and withdrew my PILS app... I had my group interview like a week or two ago and was able to generate my log in thing two days ago so the acceptance letter is prob on the way. So they might be holding yours~ I hope you get some good news soon :)

Did you get that scholarship email from GULC last week? It basically asked how much aid would we need to seriously consider GULC. In the email it said we would hear back early March, but I don't know if that only applies to those of us who were asked or if that applies to everyone.

No I didn't get that. Just double checked :( I'm at LSAT = 75 25<GPA<50 so I assume I'm not out of the running for at least a little money!

I think these emails go out in waves (this was the first one as far as I know). I would just give it some time. I was accepted late November/early December. Perhaps they are going in order of acceptance? I would assume you are in the running for some merit aid though!

Yeah, I get that. I had to take most of the day off work and getting out of DTLA just before 5 is a nightmare

Yeah the traffic sucks. I've got two jobs and a freelance gig so taking time off is a huge pain since I can't really reschedule my days or hours.

But I usually do my freelance stuff downtown so I might be able to make it work if I get lucky with the scheduling!

My stats are about equivalent and I haven't gotten that email either. Since we're technically splitters, it is possible that GULC will wait a bit to see whether they have more splitters or reverse splitters this cycle, and then offer out scholarship to whichever group they currently have less of and need to counterbalance stats for.

Don't get discouraged, and remember you can always send them an inquiry expressing your interest and explaining that your decision to attend will be contingent on aid offers! Getting into negotiations later may be beneficial, since you will be likely to have more competing offers later in the cycle! :)

has anyone that went complete mid January gotten an interview request recently? I know people get accepted without an interview but I'm a splitter so I don't think I fall into that category and I'm starting to get nervous...

Has anyone heard anything back regarding scholarships? Got accepted in December and it's been nothing since then. Am I likely just not in contention or have they not been sent out yet?
