Have you ever considered the possibility that you indirectly control JS2s? I propose we make you the thread soothsayer. No pressure.

sometimes I express my doubts just in the hopes that HLS will decide to prove me wrong (see post about being a doubter earlier today)

You take your power too lightly. Harvard senses your doubt and obeys.

The gods must be angry with us.

They need to be appeased.

The Adcoms are a capricious sort, and their whims oh so fickle.

Some archeo-sociologist is going to have a field day in 2516 when she discovers corrupted logs of our conversations.

"This strange sub-culture looked up to the return of members of their 'AdCom' pantheon, led by 'JayEss'. As their predicted coming approached, members showed alternating signs of mania and depression. By studying the ancient texts, they attempted to divine with greater precision the day when some would achieve ascension and travel to 'HLS', a sort of higher state of existence.

Most strangely, their number system relied on a base of '180'"

This is the most perfect thing I've read in a long time.

I've spent the last 15 minutes for a gif that expresses what I'm feeling right now, and apparently it doesn't exist. But I'm finding my feelings of devotion are being replaced with a touch of annoyance. May God see fit to let me be in the first round of waitlists, if only to end my prolonged suffering.

The calm before the storm....

Yea, though we walk through the valley of the shadow of dings, we shall fear no evil, for JS2s are with us. The calls and the letters, they comfort us....

Heaven and earth conspire against us to quell our hopes and dreams. The spirits' mischief abounds in an endless dance of disappointment.

Shall we ever truly know peace again?
Or are we to become the martyred slaves of time and dwell in a pool of our own misery.

Neigh I say! Neigh!

We shall not go gently into the night. We will not remain a people without a voice.

We will be heard and it shall be glorious!!!

Do you hear the waiters sing?
Singing the song of angry men?
It is the music of the people
Who will not be forced to wait again!

When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When your acceptance comes.

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the waitlists
Is there a world you long to see?

Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!

Alright that's it, no more melodramatic song lyrics for at least 2 days. This thread needs to stay at least 100x cooler than the Stanford thread at all times. I demand no less.

Are you suggesting melodramatisized lyricism isn't cool?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
