My status checker updated to today's date. Third one thus far.

Just got a boring looking little white envelope that, when opened, informed me that I had gotten into Georgetown Law School! Kind of underwhelming after receiving massive boxes from other places, but I'm still quite excited!

Submitted early December, went complete mid-December.
Interviewed last week. Non-URM, average softs.

I would also like to mention that I do NOT believe my interview went very well (me and the interviewer didn't seem to click), so it seems like a bad interview can be overlooked.

how many status updates have all my held folks had since being on hold? I have had three! I have also been trying to figure out how many of us held folks are left. Stand in solidarity!

I'm with you. Held in early/mid January and have had the three updates this week.

I posted this question before but has anyone received an actual packet with financial information, etc? I still haven't received anything and the admitted students website doesn't really show anything about awards, etc.

It does not.

Before the 3-day weekend a couple weeks ago, I had reason to believe that if I was going to get in, I would receive a decision Friday, so I compulsively status-checked Friday. Didn't get any info. Then longest 3-day weekend ever. Still nothing on status-checker Tuesday, so I was beginning to expect bad news. When I finally checked my snail mail, I was in with a very nice hand-written personal note from a person in the admissions office. Very classy, but I could have lived with an electronic communication and 4 fewer days of stress.

Went through that 3 day update like other helds, at 2/6 now and can't ASW. Super nervous... Georgetown is a top choice for me and I love D.C.

Do people think we'll see some big wave today?

FWIW, I couldn't request a password to the ASW until almost a week after my decision letter was put in the mail, so I wouldn't make a big deal out of whether you can log on.

Was held on 1/6 and have yet to see a status update.

I was put on hold on 10/25 and have had three status updates since then: 2/4, 2/5, and 2/6.

Does put on hold, or held, just mean that there's been no movement? Or is it an official notification? I submitted on 12/10, had a complete, second on 1/07 and no movement since... not ED. Am I being held?

No, it's a real notification. Most of us applied earlier than you and after they got around to our applications, they sent us an email saying they'd like "to hold our applications for further review" until they "get a better sense of the applicant pool" or something.

I was held 11/14 and still haven't had any movement. I was ready to not think about it until the end of Feb, but now that people are seeing movement I guess it's going to be a long few weeks.

I have not been following this thread closely, but can someone share as to whether or not there has been a wave of helds being WLed or dinged yet? I saw there were one or two examples of held-->WL last week, but was curious as to whether there was a large wave of that sort. TYIA.

GAAAAAAAAAA! I am not handling the wait for this one very well. I went complete on 1/13, but I also did a special on campus interview back in October, so I'm not sure if that means I wouldn't be asked to do one of the standard interviews (I would think not), but that also means I don't know where I stand in the process. This is my dream school and I can't stand being in limbo like this. Anyone apply around the same time seem to be moving forward?

I'm too am pretty anxious. But I have a good feeling about these date changes. If they wanted to wait list us ( especially after being held) why 3 date changes (reviews, I'm assuming)? Right?
