Solidarity brother. Although UR even longer. Berkeley is my top choice. This ding is gonna hurt when it finally comes due to surviving all these bloodbaths.

Dinged here. Oh well, I was above both medians, wrote a pretty good Why Berkeley (at least I thought). It does feel good to have a decision so, I can move on though.

Dinged with 3.79/165, didn't submit until Jan. Not surprised, but it still hurts. I'm also expecting dings from Penn, duke, and Va at this point. I think my only chances at top 14 are cornell and Georgetown, but hoping for Michigan.

Although I will say that I appreciate that Berkeley *seems* to be starting to wrap this cycle up. No use leaving tons of people hanging NYU/Columbia style.

UR since 1/14 and I still haven't heard anything. I suppose thats a good thing but FR2 seems like my only shot at this point.

Also I suspect that if you have been UR for a long time (say before Jan 1st) then you are probably headed to FR2 or maybe even an outright acceptance. Likewise if you were UR after the 1st and survived I bet you're on you way to FR2 as well.

Total wild speculation on my part.

I am sorry for the dings!

For those of you in FR#1 that checked their inbox multiple times during this morning's bloodbath, I perused last year's FR/Waitlist thread. In last year's FR1 there was a trickling of acceptances but actually quite a few on Wednesday and Thursday. One poster even described on her Thursday call with Dean Tom expressing that she thought it was all over already. Don't give up hope until you get the ding. Then, regardless, at least we'll have finality (unless its a WL).

It also seemed like the majority of acceptances were via phone starting as early as 12:30 pst
