So what's the consensus on what is happening to those applicants whose completed dates have been passed over in the "DLS" progression but have not been admitted?

You're probably placed in a gigantic pool with the other people who are passed over and you'll be reevaluated at a later time.Vuvuzela!!! wrote:So what's the consensus on what is happening to those applicants whose completed dates have been passed over in the "DLS" progression but have not been admitted?

+1 They may start looking at some of the best borderline candidates and do some acceptances later this month and next month. Then the rest will get WL/rejected in April.Wannabelawyer101 wrote:You're probably placed in a gigantic pool with the other people who are passed over and you'll be reevaluated at a later time.Vuvuzela!!! wrote:So what's the consensus on what is happening to those applicants whose completed dates have been passed over in the "DLS" progression but have not been admitted?

This, although i'm not so sure it's a gigantic pool. I feel like a good amount of DLS rejections have gone out. I would say it's not a bad place to be at the moment.Wannabelawyer101 wrote:You're probably placed in a gigantic pool with the other people who are passed over and you'll be reevaluated at a later time.Vuvuzela!!! wrote:So what's the consensus on what is happening to those applicants whose completed dates have been passed over in the "DLS" progression but have not been admitted?

This, too. Get scared when it gets close to April, though.Knock wrote:This, although i'm not so sure it's a gigantic pool. I feel like a good amount of DLS rejections have gone out. No one who has posted on LSN and went complete after 11/8 has been rejected, so I think quite a few more "DLS" notifications are still coming.

Stanford is the first school for which I've completely stopped checking the status updates. The "DLS" notification is just the worst way to find out.
I'd take the actual letter in the mail with dignity, though.

Or a really sweet phone call! (though that comes before DLS, anyway)neonx wrote:Stanford is the first school for which I've completely stopped checking the status updates. The "DLS" notification is just the worst way to find out.

I wouldn't be so sure, you have been rocking this cycle and S seems to like unique stories (hence slightly lower numbers than their peers).neonx wrote:I'm so sorry. Unless Yale magically comes through (wrote a completely different PS, think my 250 was pretty good, but still a very, very long shot), looks like it's going to be Columbia. I grew up in a tropical country in Asia and have been in Cali the 5 1/2 years or so I've been in the States, so I'm not really looking forward to the change in weather.
I wish my GPA could've counted...but that's neither here nor there. Still glad to have gotten the acceptances I have so far.
Good luck to the rest of you guys still waiting!

Hey if you want it really bad and you kill 1st year at CLS, perhaps you could transfer over after 1L?jman77 wrote:Unless Yale magically comes through (wrote a completely different PS, think my 250 was pretty good, but still a very, very long shot), looks like it's going to be Columbia.
