The majority view is UF doesn't section stack. I'm in the minority. I have no problem with that.

You must be fairly gregarious to talk about scholarships with 60+ people, but to each his own, I guess. Thanks for the info.

As Mistergoft pointed out, you're making a major assumption that UF doesn't give scholarships to approximately 60% of each section.

People think section stacking is about being "smarter" because (generally) schools give scholarships to those with better accolades--and those with better accolades tend to do better in school, which is a proxy for intelligence. Of course, UF could be different, but with their concern over the LSAT in the past few years, I doubt that UF is bucking the trend. They probably give scholarships to those they feel will boost their LSAT median--and who are (arguably) "smarter." (With that being said, I agree--all sections have BRILLIANT people. I really love the people here.)

I respect your opinion, and I think there's a chance that section stacking happens here. I just like to talk about "issues," as you can tell!

Has anyone heard anything this week? I haven't even been waiting that long but I'm about to go into panic mode - especially with April 1 FSU deadline quickly approaching.

Yeah, that FSU deadline is killing me. I think I'm just going to pay the deposit and lose the money if I hear an affirmative from UF because I need to go somewhere and FSU is a great place too. lol What are your plans?

I'm sure I'll end up doing the same thing, I'm just grateful the deposit at FSU is so reasonable. It's just bizarre because I applied to both schools at the same time and heard back from FSU pretty quickly and have received a lot of really great phone calls/emails from people there in the meantime - I've been super impressed by them. I can't expect the schools to be on the same timeline exactly, but they have to know that they're competing with one another for students. UF is my top choice still -- partially because I believe it to be a better school (though FSU's ranking jump is impressive) -- but also because I'll be able to live with my finace if I attend UF and free housing = win. Hurry up and let me know so I can buy my damn gator gear and register for the football tickets lottery!!

Now I'm worried. My stats are almost identical to yours (slightly higher GPA), also with pretty strong softs, but I'm still at "no decision reached" .. What in the world is going on?

My numbers are very similar to this. Slightly higher LSAT and slightly lower GPA. Strong softs.

For those that got in, acceptace letter was big/small? Thick/thin?
