FL resident rejected today via snail mail after 5+ months - letter dated March 29.

Almost passed out when I saw Stanfords FinAid offer. Has anyone had any experience comparing Stanford aid to Harvards? I'm still waiting on HLS but Stanford just started looking really good.

Don't worry, this is seemingly a common occurrence this year. A few of us flipped out (in a good way) when we saw offers.

A few folks got HLS to match Stanford's offer in years past, but I'm not an admit there, so I can't speak to that.

when i was visiting schools this past week, at least half of the people I talked to were still waiting on stanford.

sigh i already got rejected from Boalt, I can't leave California now, not with that very important item on the november ballot

All in all, Stanford's offer left me $500 less in debt. Like Skynet said, SLS gave more in grants, but budgeted more.

No mail for me today because I have mail sent to my school (closed for Good Friday)

I sent an email this week about a letter i sent. they emailed me today it has been updated to my file.

Is it safe to assume there is NO rejection letter in my mailbox?

The rejection for the student with the 175/3.97 is downright crazy.

On the other hand, that applicant is still pending at HLS and CLS despite applying in October and November. There's obviously something going on there beneath the numbers.

I did the same thing, and got the same response. I too am hoping for no rejection letter. My mailman, however, has decided not to come today...not good for my stress level :-/

Waitlisted today (letter dated 3/31).

Disappointed, but certainly not crushed. I don't think I would have ended up going, but I would have liked to have visited and given them a chance. I guess I'll withdraw from the waitlist soon.

Looks like it. FIRST YELLOW DOT ON LSN. And I go down in history with more prestige than any green dot but the first.

That's how it works.

I live in Michigan and did indeed ask for an expedited decision.
