Anyone able to provide a Facebook group update? Curious if there have been any non-TLS admits over the day

It's quite vicious to keep so many applicants hanging when there clearly are really almost no slots leftStudybuddy17 wrote:Thank you for the update! I recognized some of the names as admins who emailed me and current 1Ls who emailed me. Add them to people who deferred, and I think they usually have a good bit of deferrals and maybe it's not as full as it seems. Or maybe it is idkStudybuddy17 wrote:It's quite vicious to keep so many applicants hanging when there clearly are really almost no slots leftStudybuddy17 wrote:Thank you for the update! URM Yale requested my application so I applied after Harvard acceptance. Complete 2/26. Below both 25% percentiles (check my profile). So, so over the moon considering it's down to the single digits. All the best everyone.

I really don't want to be the pessimist, but I imagine that the numbers from previous years have also included the admins and 1L's, so that still wouldn't really help much in freeing up potential spots. I'm hoping for the best like everyone else but still want to be cognizant of the likely realitycurry1 wrote:Thanks a lot for this!Baby Gaga wrote:I recognized some of the names as admins who emailed me and current 1Ls who emailed me. Re: Yale c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I wonder how many applicants really are left, or if it's just that our sample is biased - potentially more FR applicants & potential WL based off of TLS overachievers/high numbers/highly motivated URM. Like, maybe it's not thattt vicious and they really have rejected a good portion. One of my former classmates told me they got dinged Friday, so there is movement.Studybuddy17 wrote:It's quite vicious to keep so many applicants hanging when there clearly are really almost no slots leftStudybuddy17 wrote:Thank you for the update! It does pay to keep in mind though that the rate of matriculation at YLS is only approx. 85%. This means that 15% of their offers are still declined; leaving room for a small number of additional admits (possibly from the waitlist)

yale most likely knows this and makes more offers than spaces to begin withStudybuddy17 wrote:It does pay to keep in mind though that the rate of matriculation at YLS is only approx. 85%. Re: Yale c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Ok folks. Given the FB count, the decent sized wave of admits (and dings) this weekend, including from folks with completes as late as 3/11, I make the depressing prediction that anyone remaining at this point is, at best, waitlist.
As such, I am going to focus my energy on getting excited for NYU.
Good luck ya'll!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
