Lots of people do. Interviews are far from a pre-requisite to admission at Georgetown. They like to do them if they are convenient, and splitters/potential YP folks tend to get the requests the most frequently...but it has a lot more to do with geographic location than anything else, and isn't really an indicator outside of you're still being considered and at a minimum in the "maybe" pile (but could easily be in the accept pile too...they just seem to like to get to know as many folks as they can beyond the application).periwinkley wrote:Is there anyone here who got accepted without an interview?

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I think this holds for basically every law school. An interview can be helpful, but you're only required (or, more commonly, strongly recommended) to do one if you're at one of the extremes of the spectrum—a likely ding or YP / scholly material.squirtlesquad14 wrote:Lots of people do. Well it's past 5pm - any chance of hearing back today via ASW/email if we haven't already? Or can I relax for the rest of the night?

Sorry if I'm repeating a previous question, but I'm a bit confused. I was able to generate login credentials on ASW, but then I receive an error message when I try to log in with those credentials. Does this just mean I wasn't admitted yet, or does generating credentials indicate acceptance and there's just a delay in activating the login?berek wrote:Just got in via ASW site this evening (/5 minutes ago). You're in! You generate a login with your last name, then email, right?AnonymousPython wrote:Sorry if I'm repeating a previous question, but I'm a bit confused. Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Yep, and then received an email a few mins later with username and password (both of which seemed to be randomly-generated strings of letters and numbers). I checked a few times to make sure I was copying and pasting back into the ASW site correctly, but eventually I gave up on actually logging in. I guess there's just some lag time before the login is activated... or maybe it's the law school gods telling me to be patient and wait for the damn letter.Anonnonnon wrote:You're in! Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
It can take a few days for it to be active...but the important part is being able to generate them in the first place. Just keep an eye on the mail box for the tiny envelope with a note from Andy!AnonymousPython wrote:Yep, and then received an email a few mins later with username and password (both of which seemed to be randomly-generated strings of letters and numbers).
