I'm still in UR1 after applying in November. Is this basically tantamount to being waitlisted? Wouldn't they have done something by now if they had strong feelings in one way or the other?

I was at an ASW in LA this weekend where one of the admits called NYU to check on their application and it had literally been lost. At first I thought he was joking because it's just taking so long to hear back, but turns out he wasn't. He even had a status checker log in.

The office actually told him that they'd lost his application?

How does that even happen? And should we all call to make sure ours are at least in a pile somewhere, not lost to be found 14 years later when they're redecorating the office?

the admissions office is going to be receiving quite a few calls in the morning...



I checked out the 2017 thread to see what us DLSnevers (and especially the UR2014 crowd) had in store..
This weekish, there were 2 waves (or a constant stream) of DLSs on status checkers that were mostly WLs with a ding or two, and I think the first reported admit from WL was May 8.

Some reported two DLS dates others reported future DLS dates. Most had normal dates with no updates and regardless of your DLS date, you were most likely to be WLed, even applicants with double 75ths went to this pile :/ remember to check your spam/promotions boxes since a few found days-old WL notifications there.
