JS1 complete.
Interview was very comfortable, he asked why law (but not in those words) and other questions specific to my application.

It seemed to go well, but the proof will be if I get an offer. I'm a non-traditional applicant, so my interview was probably different than most, but the same advice about interviewing apply: look good, answer the questions, pose good follow up questions, and know the school so you'll have a few questions to ask at the end. Feel free to PM me if anyone has more specific questions.ballcaps wrote:how'd it go? thoughts or advice?antiworldly wrote:JS1 done, now we wait. . .

I am purely curious about why H is having such a weird cycle this year. Y and S are making calls already.
But on a brighter side, we might be lucky enough to witness some offer flood this year.

Ugh I just can't stop ruminating over my interview. So to all of you who have already completed the JS1, did your interviewer comment on your application? Mine gave me two rather positive comments during the interview but I don't know if he was merely being polite.

But I empathize with how you feel. The more I dwell on my interview the worse it feels like I did. Just try not to think about it, nothing you can do about it now.

+1 on that. And yeah, I doubt anyone feels good about it afterwards. Mine was two months ago and I only stopped mentally playing back one of my answers that I wasn't happy with like last -- well, actually now I'm doing again.Nathanael wrote:+1LetsGoMets wrote:He said nice things and you're concerned about that?2666 wrote:Ugh I just can't stop ruminating over my interview. i think the recognition that interviews are just as much an attempt by the school to sell themselves can be helpful in resolving that anxiety.

Although I left the interview feeling pretty good, the more I think about it, the more I am starting to second guess my answers. And although at the end of the day there's nothing we can do about it anymore, I probably won't stop thinking about it until we have some closure lol (JS2 or Ding).

Hopefully it isn't too terribly long. I got the same non-committal "between now and April 1" when I asked about the time line at the end of my JS1.LSCHI wrote:JS1 in the books. Now the terrifying wait...

Random question but just wondering - how does H notify of a rejection?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
just a quick question-- did you guys send thank you notes? to the jdadmissions email or did you find who emailed you specifically?
I can't find the email of my interviewer.
I also had JS1 today. I'd agree that it's super individualized-- my only advice is to prep good questions and relax as much as possible. I think I was too nervous in mine and didn't speak as well as I could have done.

No need to send a thank you email for a Skype interview. They just do too many!anna2112 wrote:just a quick question-- did you guys send thank you notes? to the jdadmissions email or did you find who emailed you specifically?

Anyway, to reiterate everyone else... my confidence in my interview has plummeted to negative over the last 1.5 months haha

See, my interview confidence hasn't gone down too much. But as a K-JD, I've gone from "Nice, 75% chance!" to wondering how long I'll be on the waitlist for. Waiting does crazy things to the mind.ChemEng1642 wrote:blueberrycrumble wrote: my confidence in my interview has plummeted to negative over the last 1.5 months haha

Does anyone know:
a.) The final number of TLS reported JS1s last cycle
and b.) the last reported day of a JS1 wave on TLS last cycle?
