I'm sure yours is coming soon - I think we have similar numbers and I applied a tad before you, so probably JS is just doin things by application complete/submit date?barrelofmonkeys wrote: where are the rest of the JS1s :-/

Is there a specific policy regarding this at Harvard/Stanford/Yale?
I would appreciate any guidance anyone could provide in this matter. My father makes a bit of money, though not enough to underwrite any of my education, and I wouldn't ask him to anyhow.

Mine came when nobody else posted about one on TLS, a few days ago it was the same. Not always a wave!ShrimpToastMasters wrote:I'm sure yours is coming soon - I think we have similar numbers and I applied a tad before you, so probably JS is just doin things by application complete/submit date?barrelofmonkeys wrote: where are the rest of the JS1s :-/
actually, it's kind of weird that no one else has posted about a JS1. maybe mine was a fake? where's the rest of the wave i'm riding?

I find this particularly vexing. I know that it's just how it is everywhere, but I already bled my parents dry in college and there's no way they could afford to help me at all now - nor should they. My sister was married when she started med school and she STILL had to provide parent financial information...crazy.lastsamurai wrote:HLS looks at parent information until age 29 according to JS herself at an info sessionKingMe wrote:If you are 26 or over, do you still need to disclose parent financial information on the need-access applications?

Yea I got that too... I quickly went from overly excited to disappointedkoalacity wrote:Anyone else get that Women of HLS email this morning? I wasn't fully awake yet when I saw it and just saw the Harvard subject line and was like "WAIT WHAT?!?!?" and then I remembered that I haven't even applied yet
I'm not sure of your numbers but with what Spivey is reporting over in his thread it makes sense to apply nearly everywhere this cycle.OliveBC wrote:Can't believe I'm actually checking in here...Super longshot which is why I debated so long but my dad agreeing to pay the app fee sealed the deal.

So if your folks have money but don't want to help you out, sorry, but you'll just have to take out more loans to cover what you would otherwise get in grants.HLS FinAid wrote: Harvard Law School does not assume that parents will actually provide any assistance toward the pursuit of their children's legal education. While we use parent resources as an integral part of the rationing mechanism for grant eligibility, we have no expectations of what any given parent/family will actually do.
