Congrats, man!shntn wrote:Took a TLS holiday, but I got the NCE last week. I think Tuesday or whatever the day that was eerily quiet was. Maybe Wednesday. Anyway, yeah.
I think your nonchalance succeeded in getting everyone else to overlook this post.

Meanwhile...

Don't know what I'd do if I get waitlisted. At this point, I'm really hoping my app just happens to be in a pile labeled "Admit: Yes. Scholarship: Undecided." Would be nice if they're just waiting to read all the apps or see if anyone turns down Hamiltons or Butlers. In which case...
Thank. You.questcertainty wrote:Also just withdrew (and declined a Hamilton). Best of luck everybody!bernaldiaz wrote:Just withdrew. I didn't want to drag things out and keep the seat from one of y'all. Good luck!

IMO you'd only get WL to YP and I feel that it's easy to write a convincing loci that you will definitely attend cls if taken off the WL - if, of course, that's what you want to do. If you're CLS Hammy / But or bust then idk..Lavitz wrote:Congrats, man!shntn wrote:Took a TLS holiday, but I got the NCE last week. I think Tuesday or whatever the day that was eerily quiet was. No NCE for me.
Also, Wake Forest has the smallest admit packet I have ever come across. I didn't know what it was at first lol.

I got the Brooklyn one. And no Chipotle coupon.ph5354a wrote:Two NCEs, one from Fordham (seeing the big "Congratulations" on the envelope almost gave me a heart attack) and one from Brooklyn Law.![]()
On the bright side, I also got a coupon for a free burrito from Chipotle, so it's not all bad.

For a second I thought you meant the Chipotle coupon was in the Brooklyn law envelope and I was freaking about immediately tossing it.Jaqen wrote:I got the Brooklyn one. Quick question. Chipotle: bad burritos or the worst burritos?

NCE yesterday in Arizona; postmarked January 31st. ED applicant so I've known for a month. But somehow that didn't make getting the big blue folder any less exciting.

Haha sorry for the confusion everyone. I live close to a Chipotle (God bless America) so I occasionally get coupons in the mail. That, and the NYU pizza box, are the only good things to appear in my mailbox this year.Crowing wrote:+1 I actually checked after thatroflmaozedong wrote:For a second I thought you meant the Chipotle coupon was in the Brooklyn law envelope and I was freaking about immediately tossing it.Jaqen wrote:I got the Brooklyn one. I may have to give up on Columbia. Thinking there might be a NCE for me was a lovely dream.
Also, for the rpg-minded from the lovely gamefest a few pages ago, there is a 50% off sale on Final Fantasy games on PSN. Snap 'em up while they are cheap. I may need to play one since I'm expecting a ding!

Things aren't looking too good right now. I count 69 RD admits on LSN right now, compared with 77 at this time last year. At best, we may see a very small batch of NCEs this week. But after that, the inevitable WL/ding waves will begin :/

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
NCE! postmarked 1/30 (told you... Sandy, that bi*ch). No scholarship info but considering I'm below their LSAT median (171) and non-URM, i did not even expect to get in. With risk of outing myself, I was Columbia UG and have lived in Manhattan ever since - so goes without saying that this holds a special place in my heart
The one thing that is daunting is the idea of 250k of debt, any idea of timeline on non butler/hammy schollys? It seems like the 171/172 high GPA crowd last year got about 25K - any idea how/when we find out about htis
SO HAPPY, dont worry all NCEs will be arriving soon
