Just received a Darrow invite via email. Super pumped!! Obviously the odds are low, but does anyone know what happens to your merit-based money if you apply and don't get it? Is it an all-or-nothing kind of deal or might you still receive a generous package even if you aren't able to attend Michigan for free??

Sorry y'all. I didn't mean to confuse anyone. I did not receive an initial merit offer. I just got accepted a week ago so I assumed that they were just taking a reasonable amount of time to assess merit-based money. Then I got the Darrow invite today via email. I was just concerned that if the whole Darrow thing doesn't work out-- which, let's be honest, it probably won't--I might not end up with scholarship money. So I was hoping that someone with experience on this matter might be able to clear that up...

Long-time lurker here, just writing to say I’M IN!!! Found out by checking my email early this morning and seeing a Darrow invite. Was absolutely thrilled but also a little confused! I didn’t receive my admit packet until later today and didn’t realize the ASW could update on weekends.

Very excited to visit Ann Arbor now (Dean Z seems so cool).

Not showing up to a prospective students conference I told them I'd go to? Writing a lackluster "Why Mich?"? A small correction I made to my application?

Not to sound over-confident, but as far as I can tell on LSP/LSN I should be accepted with my numbers, which means if I get rejected there is something about my application that they don't like. It makes the rejection more personal and therefore more upsetting

It seems clear from this data that Michigan has made a conscious decision to focus on admitting people in the 168-174 range. Presumably these are the people who have matriculated in the past and they can better predict (protect?) their yield with appllicants in that LSAT range.

It also seems clear from the previous paragraph that I am searching for reasons why I have yet to be accepted
