For those with "Application in review" status, are daily updates normal? I went under review on Friday (after more than two months of processing, and a week of being complete), and have had status date changes both yesterday and today. After months of zero Cornell activity, it's a bit curious to see so much movement, so fast.

As many people on the forum say, reading into status updates is worse than reading tea leaves. It may well be an automatic daily update a la Michigan. I choose to believe that they are passing my application around so everyone can see it (either to laugh, or to bask in its glory).

Submitted 11/22...complete 1/25...under review 1/26...at least it didn't take as long to go under review as it did to be complete. Hope the decision (hopefully positive) comes quickly.

Processing status changed to today's date. I have been processing since the end of November. Is there anyone out there that can beat a processing date of late November?

don't worry. i had an initial process date of late nov and my file went complete last week.
it happens but just have to wait .

That happend to me about 48 hours before a decision. Nothing the status tracker for Cornell does makes sense, so I am sure this means you are getting a response next year.

A response in 2012? That is FAR better than I hoped for, or have come to expect from Cornell. Let's see how the decision timeline plays out.

Seriously? I've seen snide comments about how Cornell "loves low GPAs" (not on this thread), but they do have a bizarre 25/75 LSAT. And if anything I figure I'd be less subject to YP. Who knows

Typically, the URM boost seems to be exclusive for the LSAT.

For URMs accepted the last two years, the LSAT quartiles (25, 50, 75) were 162, 165, and 168; GPA quartiles were 3.4, 3.65, 3.79.

Either way, I think his LSAT is high enough to put him over the edge regardless

I know exactly how you feel. URM, 170, 3.01. It seems like no one has these stats so it's impossible to know what to expect.

For all the early Jan completes (myself included) we all seemed to go into the new processing date a day or two before we went complete. So by Monday you should all be complete.
