I am extremely curious about this, too. I liked the idea of UVA, but even if I convinced them to admit me, I don't think I would go at sticker. If I got a pretty good scholarship, it would be very high on my list.

I am bumping my question b/c the responses seemed to get off topic. Any history of UVa offering money to people they YP waitlisted after a LOCI, specific LOR, etc?

If it makes you feel any better, T-Mobile's towers went down in my town the day I got my acceptance call. I saw the number on my VM online and realized it was UVA and freaked out.

INNNNNN!!!!! Jason's a really nice guy. He encouraged me to fill out the FAFSA and said I was "very competitive" for scholarships, but didn't give an exact number. Anyone else have this experience?

A partner at the firm my mom works with asked her about me and UVA. She told him about my call with Jason Dugas. Turns out they were in school together, and Jason told the partner to tell my mom to put the pressure on me and tell him what it'll take to commit. What a crazy world

for all of you that submitted a LOCI or late why uva essay, how did you send it in (email/mail, to who, etc.)?

Also, I'm writing a Why UVA essay and it's over a page, is that a problem?

Anybody else have movement early on and nothing since? I was "File Complete, Pending Review/Decision" 11/29, 12/20, and then 12/30 and have had no changes in the status checker since.

UVa is my first choice, but I don't know if I can sniff at Chicago unless I get some money from UVa. No mention of scholarships over the phone
