I'm really excited but does anyone think there's any chance they'll match USC's 18k?
Congrats!

When were you accepted? Do you think I could call the admissions office and ask about my finaid since I'm out of town for a little while?
And congrats!

Someone above said they walked into the fin aid office and asked. Seems like they didn't have a problem with it?

I guess they got tired of calling people?? Or are those on the border whose applications they held for a while not as special?

Hehe, they were actually relatively quick with my application. Submitted 2/3, received 2/5, complete 2/23, interviewed 3/11 and accepted today.

Sheez, but congrats!! I'm for sure at the bottom of the pile.

Can't hurt. Haven't seen anyone say the admissions office didn't like callers.

This actually puts me in quite a pickle since I know there's no way they will match WUSTL ($90K seems to be the max?).
However, I really do want their health law program (no. 4 in the nation).

They do offer a full tuition scholarship also - I was offered one, and I believe at least a few others have posted about them on LSN.

I would try to negotiate - health law is a really big thing here (professor at our school pretty much created the subset). Outside out the top schools - for health law, theres really no one better.

Called BU a few days ago to check on my app (been complete since October, but I'm a major splitter so I can understand that they don't want to make a decision on me until later in the game). Like so many other schools they've had a spike in applicants, so it's taking them longer to get through the entire process.
I asked the admissions officer on the phone about when they expect to finish and they said in about 4-6 weeks. She recommend that I call in about 2 weeks if I want to inquire about my app again. And I confirmed with her that--for the most part--accepted students get phone calls, waitlisters get emailed, and rejects are informed through snail mail.

I know...Boston is the hotbed for health law, and the only other school in the T20 ranked in the T10 for health law is Georgetown (incidentally, I'm waiting to hear back from them, but not very confident at this point). I'll definitely try to negotiate.

Waitlisted at BU. 162 3.88. What are my chances off the waitlist? If not BU than what are my chances at BC. Still have to hear from them.
Anyone. Please.

Can you retake this summer? It worked for a friend of mine at BU - if you can push it up 4 points, you'd have a much better shot. BC you still have a chance.

I'd like to know the answer to this as well.. about the BU waitlist.
Edit: Sorry I didn't see blindmelon's response above at first. However retaking this summer would not be an option for me, does anyone know the likely-hood of making it off the wait list?

I think that's rude! I may ask for my app fee back. Hmmmm

Called admissions and after giving my name, phone #, and lsac #, I was told that they will get back to me on Monday or Tuesday via the phone. No specific reason was given and I did't want to ask unneeded questions.
I'm not sure if this means anything. Has anyone gotten the same response? Need insight..
