I'm feeling the WL on this one, but a rejection wouldn't really surprise me. Although it took them an awful long time to reject me.

Edit: Looks like it's an entire splitter batch, making WLs seem likely.

tbh, I never thought I had much of a chance at Duke with my GPA, but applied due to my shotgun approach.

Lol its March 26th and the 27th, but the 27th is just an "optional tour of Durham" (EXCITING!) and financial aid information. Really thinking about going?

Ehh...if they throw 75K at me in the next few weeks I'll consider it, yeah. But probably not. I might want to go to the NYU one, particularly if I get accepted to CLS (where the f are you, Columbia?)

They're probably in the CLS thread. Im looking also hoping for 75k to get me in at Duke, but if I have to compete with you for that money I'm done for. NYU was one of my top choices, but I've started to shy away from all that debt.

EDIT: Lol I had to post this: has anyone else seriously looked at Duke's viewbook? One of their selling point is the fact that they have 233 lemurs living on campus.....

They are serious about their lemurs. I've actually heard Durham isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. But it's on the wrong coast for me.

I guess I'm the only person who hadn't heard about this lemur center, but I will make a purpose to see it when I visit now. I just hope scholarship information is released in the next 2 weeks.

I visited the Lemur center about a year ago at Duke. Pretty cool actually...its slightly off campus though, but its def worth a visit-- apparently more interesting in the summer though. And good luck with the scholly info...I'm still hoping I go UR one of these days... haha

I figure I should probably just get the form off of the admitted students website and send it in as opposed to waiting for the acceptance package.

If only that were possible...we don't have user names/passwords. And yes, they tend to be one of the more generous schools with merit aid. According to the latest LSAC reported data, 72.6 percent of students received grants, with a median grant amount of $10,000. I think that was in 2007.

edited... I was wrong. I could have sworn I saw it two places online but they must have both been on the admitted students portion of the site.

The username and password should be in your acceptance email.
