How does this work? Do you just go on the admitted students website, click no password, put in your info, and hope they email you with login credentials? (Before even receiving a letter of acceptance)?anonymous117 wrote:Just was able to generate an ASW login! Complete 1/5, interviewed Monday.

I got in without any interview process-- don't lose hope! (But I applied in November-- that's the only reason I've heard so quickly)tezzeret wrote:tezzeret wrote:Nada here too (1/11 complete). Interviews definitely aren't required for admittance. And timing seems to vary - from LSN, it seems like a lot of people are waiting 2 months - admits included. Definitely don't lose hope!Drmrndaphd wrote:I got in without any interview process-- don't lose hope! From what people have said on here, yes. It makes sense because letters are mailed, so they don't know for sure when you'll get it and want to login.Anonnonnon wrote:How does this work? You lose a little bit of the magic of being surprised by the pretty envelope in the mail?Anonnonnon wrote:Are there any negatives do doing this?anonymous117 wrote:From what people have said on here, yes. No...this is how everyone gains access to the admitted students website. If you were waitlisted/rejected or are still pending, it will just give you an error, if you've been accepted then it'll generate login credentials for you. The admission letter doesn't really have any access information or anything in it.Anonnonnon wrote:Are there any negatives do doing this?anonymous117 wrote:From what people have said on here, yes. ^^^^^ Thank you guys for the responses above, I guess we're all still waiting. I haven't received any GTown emails, which is good......but also have not been able to login to the ASW, so there's that. I will just be more patient and hope an interview is not necessary for admission this late in the cycle!

I see...So if I get an error, will that mean I have been waitlisted/rejected? Or could it mean they still haven't made a decision?squirtlesquad14 wrote:No...this is how everyone gains access to the admitted students website. Could be either you have been waitlisted/rejected, or that your decision is still pending. So even if you get an error, there might still be hope !Anonnonnon wrote:I see...So if I get an error, will that mean I have been waitlisted/rejected? Also correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Georgetown makes decisions on Mondays? So would it be safe to say that if you aren't able to generate a login in on Monday, you won't be able to generate one for the rest of the week?
Just asking so that I can check every Monday and spare myself the rest of the days if nothing happens LOL

If you don't mind me asking, where and when did you interview (what time?) Send me an answer in PM if that's better for you?anonymous117 wrote:I checked yesterday and I couldn't, but I could today. Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
The only thing an error means is that you haven't been accepted (yet). There is no way to know if a negative decision has been made through this process. You will eventually either receive an email if you are waitlisted or rejected, or a letter in the mail if you are accepted. At least Georgetown doesn't make you wait for a snail mail rejection letter like Columbia.Anonnonnon wrote:I see...So if I get an error, will that mean I have been waitlisted/rejected? Does everyone get an email from Dean Cornblatt following the group interview? I know I saw one person say they got one earlier in the thread, but not sure if everyone else got it as well.

I got my interview last Friday and I completed on 1/5 - slightly a week before you. Since my stats are above both 75ths, I doubt that my app were held anytime before interview request. In short, they may not get to your apps yet, so don't worry.tezzeret wrote:I highly doubt I'm one of those people getting in without an interview lol...trust me.Drmrndaphd wrote:I got in without any interview process-- don't lose hope! My bad. I mean I got interview request last Friday. Haven't been contacted by alumni yet, so I guess there is no point checking ASW atm.Anonnonnon wrote:Did they notify you about your decision yet? Have you checked ASW?strawberrieee wrote:
