DLS is "Decision Letter Sent". When you see this, go to the admitted students portal and try to request a password. If you get one, you're in. If you don't.....keep trying, maybe do a blood sacrifice tonight, but you missed the full moon by ~2 days, so YMMV.yumsalmon wrote:Maybe this is incredibly silly of a question to ask, but what is DLS? I got it and I don't know if it's good or just me getting excited for a rejection on the way?

No movement since UR1 12/12... At this point I am just praying for a WL

DLS yesterday (UR1 2/9, UR2 4/8), ding this morning. Not too shocking, but thought I'd share the news that dings from yesterday's wave are still going out.
Good luck to everone.

UR 12/2. that's it, no movement since then. i wonder if this means that even if we get admitted "by the end of April," there will be no need/merit scholarships left whatsoever...

I wouldn't be so sure. According to LSN, it seems like last year some people received aid even after being accepted off of the waitlist.

Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
Hi everyone,
I applied extremely late and currently stuck at #DLSnever.
I thought I wouldn't have to take out loans (parents) so I didn't looked at fin aid info carefully. But something bad happened and I'll have to take out loans if accepted. Does anyone know if I could still submit my FAFSA to get considered for need based app?

The only part of my application that's changed since January is the banner at the top of the log-in screen.
Or maybe it's looked like that all along and I'm just losing it.

I would call the Financial Aid office and explain the situation. I have found Financial Aid offices to be understanding about one's circumstances changing. More than likely not too late for need aid, but you may not get as lucky wrt merit aid. Better late than never, though.greenapples wrote:Hi everyone,

Curious about this as well. I don't get what they're waiting for with all of us DLSnevers!BuffaloBillsFan wrote:There still has to be another huge wave of dings, no?

If you look at the proportion of green dots to red dots on LSN, even if you consider people might not report their dings as often as their accepts, there still has to be a ton more dings. Not to be a pessimist, but...bingo90 wrote:Curious about this as well. There must be a big ding/WL wave coming. There are simply too many people waiting for decisions and not enough time to ding/WL one by one.BuffaloBillsFan wrote:If you look at the proportion of green dots to red dots on LSN, even if you consider people might not report their dings as often as their accepts, there still has to be a ton more dings. I am also curious whether there is any difference between being DLSnever UR1 and DLSnever UR2.

I forgot to do the blood sacrifice but got the call around noon today, so something must have worked! Was UR3 (4/5, who reviews an application on easter?) before the letter was sent, so don't lose hope friends, acceptances are still out there!morningstar wrote:DLS is "Decision Letter Sent". Realistically, does anyone think there's a chance that of people that get admitted this late getting a significant (50K/3+) Offer from NYU? Considering depositing down in Durham

Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
called admissions on my UR1 six month anniversary. as expected i suppose, no useful info whatsoever.
PI-focused applicant with GPA close to median and 75th percentile LSAT, sent in LOCI and resume updates. not sure what they didn't like that one time they looked at my application six months ago, but I will be depositing elsewhere.
this shit is ridiculous, NYU.

Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
NYU website lists their admitted students weekends as March 5-6, March 26-27, and April 16-17... Wouldn't it make sense that they make all their admit decisions before the last day, 4/16-4/17. Basically what I'm saying is that at this point with no more scheduled ASWs, is it silly to expect an admit 'before the end of April'? BTW - UR 3 since 1/16.

Thanks! that is helpful... also agree with the fact that it would make sense to admit everyone by 4/16-4/17... Still #DLSneverever from 12/12.wowchromosome wrote:
