Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
This is so stressful because HYS are the only schools with solely need-based aid and the schools that I've heard back from have not released scholarship information, so essentially, I still don't know if I'm going to law school or not.

on a related note, there's a section on the Need Access application where you fill in schools to send your information too. anyone know if it's okay to put down schools you haven't actually been admitted to? or is it better to just wait and revise/resubmit with each new acceptance?ravel wrote:This is so stressful because HYS are the only schools with solely need-based aid and the schools that I've heard back from have not released scholarship information, so essentially, I still don't know if I'm going to law school or not.

I called them. If you pay, you can submit the same form later to other schools at no extra charge. You might as well wait on schools you haven't heard from.whompwhomp wrote:on a related note, there's a section on the Need Access application where you fill in schools to send your information too. anyone know if it's okay to put down schools you haven't actually been admitted to? or is it better to just wait and revise/resubmit with each new acceptance?ravel wrote:This is so stressful because HYS are the only schools with solely need-based aid and the schools that I've heard back from have not released scholarship information, so essentially, I still don't know if I'm going to law school or not.

Also, sorry to those who were expecting a JS2 wave and didn't get one today. The interview slots theory seemed so sound!

I'm counting approx. 25 that were added "about an hour ago." Don't know how the Facebook add syncs up with the admission notification, though.jimmymac wrote:60 ppl in total... hmmmprr687 wrote:Several people were added to the Harvard Law 2018 Facebook group about an hour ago
A good number more of the group were added last Wednesday.

Pretty sure you request to be added and then someone goes in and approves your membership, so it's probably just 12/15ers trickling in and then the admissions person approving them in large batches.

Does anyone know if there has been a day in which the adcomm both conducted interviews and gave out JS2s?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
I see a few days when that occurred last cycle: 11/26, 11/27, 1/21, 1/23, 2/20. This was a pretty quick glance, and I only looked at admits' JS1 dates, so I may have missed a few.qgprhtnf wrote:Does anyone know if there has been a day in which the adcomm both conducted interviews and gave out JS2s?

Maybe there's been a dramatic reduction in the class size this cycle and they're just going to start the year with the 50 or so accepted only.

+1. I browsed it and didn't see you or any of my TLS FB friends. Thought it was a bad sign and decided to pass for the time being.lc39 wrote:

I would also feel weird about joining a group when I'm not 100% committed to HLS. Maybe once seat deposit deadlines roll around I'll join something like that.BillsFan9907 wrote:+1. Same. Learned that mistake already, but not because of any weird feeling. My news feed started getting bombarded with all ones I joined last year. I dont want to read through all that or unjoin all those groups. I'll do it before ASW.lc39 wrote:I would also feel weird about joining a group when I'm not 100% committed to HLS. Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
What do they use the groups for? The few that I was in last year I thought were pretty helpful - with reminders about aid, meet-up events throughout the summer, visits, etc. - even though I didn't end up attending. Although to billsfan's point, I did have to un-join all the groups to avoid the excessive amount of notifications once September rolled around.lc39 wrote:I would also feel weird about joining a group when I'm not 100% committed to HLS.
