In the same boat as you, with the same dates for completion and UR2. URM here and other URMs with lower numbers have been admitted before me and I applied super early. My numbers aren't super high, though
I don't think that has anything to do with being URM- there are plenty of non-URMs stuck at early review dates.sherealcool wrote:In the same boat as you, with the same dates for completion and UR2. How are those not strong numbers?icclabthisbassets wrote:NYU is literally driving me insane... (But I love you, NYU! Please let me in!) Granted, my numbers aren't that strong (LSAT=75 but median GPA) but people with lower numbers who applied at the same time have heard back. I did write a scholarship essay, though, so I hope there's some merit to that theory...
I was just thinking that. R u sayin my #s r weak?!!?Nonconsecutive wrote:How are those not strong numbers?icclabthisbassets wrote:NYU is literally driving me insane... (But I love you, NYU! Doesn't mean they aren't strong.icclabthisbassets wrote:Whaddya think?!!?![]()
Jk, of course-- on the previous/this page, people mentioned having >75 LSAT and >75 GPA, so my (our?) #s are obviously weaker than theirs.

honestly theres no way. here's my theory. this one time, my brother went through one of my final papers and inserted the word "pants" every few sentences. i'm thinking maybe he did that with my ps.
I applied for the RTK program, went complete on 1/6 and was admitted on 1/23. That said, I have a lot of connections to NYU (alum, WE, recs, etc.). I know it's super frustrating (/soul-killing) to be left wondering, but don't stress about something that hasn't happened yet.ConLawNerd91 wrote:I also applied for a named scholarship with an essay. I have a 99% chance of not getting in with my numbers, but I'd like to think the only reason I haven't heard has to do with the essay.
