I'm happy for those who got in, but def sad I haven't heard anything. I thought I had a pretty good shot at getting off the WL, but since more than a handful have been admitted off the WL my hope is dwindling...FAST. I mean how many people can they actually admit off the WL?

I got accepted off the waitlist last week and had sent in 2 LOCIs. FWIW, I was considered a "deny" on LSP at Duke, mainly because of my GPA.

I'm starting to think WL admits up to this point has been solely a numbers thing, given that many who got in did not send any supplemental material....I have have just done about everything imaginable to get off the WL ( non-creepy of course)

No, I got off the waitlist last week with what should have been an Auto-Deny GPA. I don't think my LOCI was the tipping point so much as my soft factors, but I'm sure it didn't hurt.

I don't think anybody on the waitlist should be freaking out yet. Today is the first workday after the non-scholarship deadline, so there will be a lot more movement. And as we move into the summer there will be even more.

Over half of my T14 student friends got into their current schools off the waitlist, some as late as July. It happens. In the meantime, relax and enjoy the spring.

For what it's worth, I got off the priority reserve list back in early march. I sent in a LOCI around a week before i got in.

Just got the acceptance package from Duke! The letter contained a hand-written note from the dean about one of my extra-curricular activities. Really cool stuff. Here's hoping he likes me enough to give me some money...

Got my scholarship offer from Duke. While it's more than UVA's offer, it's not substantially so. I'll need to look over everything once more, but I'll probably withdraw from Duke and go with UVA.

Do whatever you think is best, but choose based on personal fit, as the two schools are equivalent in pretty much everything else that matters.

Also, congrats to everyone who's gotten off the WL so far. Hope to see ya'll in Durham next year.

I received my admission package through FedEx today (international) dated April 30th. I was off the priority reserve list. I simply told them that I wanted to remain on the list and did not do any follow-ups
