When I went in to talk to the dean of admissions [she was great, actually], it was obvious that she was having a difficult time trying to say "sorry buddy" without simply giving me the decision. I asked her about the writing being gone, just for funzies, and she did the same dance between not-answering the question and pitying reassurance.

So, I'm inclined to believe that the writing disappearing = waitlist/deny

Infinite sad face.

3.7ish, 166--URM. Other circumstances might make me less appealing to WUSTL--I'm from St. Louis, went to a university in the area that they don't respect, etc.

What does 3.7ish mean? If you are a URM above one median and close to another I have to think you'll get in.

What does 3.7ish mean? If you are a URM above one median and close to another I have to think you'll get in.

I have no writing either. But I would guess that I'm headed for a waitlist as I'm an extreme reverse splitter. First went under review in mid-Feb and latest update was to 3/8.
