not yet. It will take some time. Dont expect to see a refund until a couple days ( or weeks) after they mark your account as paid in full. If you want to triple check, click on your ebill history and if you dont owe any money- then you dont have anything to worry about. However, Im sure you are more worried about money to live on( as am I), but i am planning on not seeing that refund deposited itno my checking account until a week or 2 from now.
( That is of course that you signed up for direct deposit- if you are waiting for a hard check- then you will most likely have to wait a bit longer)

possibly. But it may take time for the school and the banks to get it into your account. I always plan on not seeing the money for about a week afterwords- just to force myself to have a little bit of a safety net.

If it truly takes that long, I'm not even sure what I'm going to do.

Regardless of when it goes through, I will have my books and be prepared for my classes, that's what's most important. Still going down to the wire however.northwood wrote:Nano- i plan and prep for the worst case, especially in regards to finances

Re: Pittsburgh 2011
I reread the email they sent me. It says "The Direct Deposit option takes only two to three business days from the date of the refund transaction on the student account," So the refund transaction was yesterday, meaning we should have our money by Wednesday or so.

I looked at my "Student Account Detail" and it says "Refund" 08/20, which was Saturday, so they didn't push send until then. 2-3 business days is Tuesday or Wednesday. I thought I'd get mine today because Pitt and I have the same bank. I don't think it will be a week or two, but you never know. I am thinking almost everyone will get their refund tomorrow.

I'm guessing that the rest of you received the same e-mail, but I got an e-mail in my Pitt account last night that said that the deposit was initiated yesterday on 08/22 and it would take three business days. So, I guess most people will have their living loans on Thursday.

Fine. A lot of book note-taking in my mind to do what it takes. Not wanting a reputations as a "gunner." Good luck everyone.

Re: Pittsburgh 2011
First day was pretty laid back. Only class where we did much of anything was Contracts with Flechtner but it wasn't bad at all. Looking at my assignments, it seems like the first week as a whole isn't going to be that bad.
Was only nervous for a second when I was like 10 seconds away from entering the building, but after that, nothing. Feels good to be learning again. I've had 3 of my 5 professors so far, and at the very least, my first impression is good.
Only issue I have right now is that I haven't really "figured out" what the benefits of one note are. Maybe I'll just keep hand writing, and use one note when it's time for outlines or something. The free windows program "Sticky Notes" on the other hand is just perfect. Glad I upgraded to W7.
Do we have an official topic in the "Class of 2014" or "Discuss your law school" forum? I'm assuming that eventually we'll have to move outta here.

- You can save it on the cloud. Fantastic if your computer breaks.
- You can format your notes in outline form. Fantastic around exams.
- You can copy and paste into your outline throughout the semester, and then around exams. Fantastic around exams.
I'm sure I missed something else that was really pressing last year for me when using OneNote... but it has its advantages.
