I'm thinking that since this is a Monday and the ASW only updates at midnight, then perhaps IT will be updating the site later on today with the latest batch of admits. Generally IT folks don't work on non-emergency or non-maintenance items over the weekend.

I really doubt IT personally updates the site. I'm pretty sure that assistants or whoever make updates to the system throughout the day, and then every night at midnight the server automatically re-synchs with the system and refreshes the site with any changes. It may be that with an increase in workload, there's a delay in when things are happening, and when the assistants are making updates to the system...

Status checker changed to decision today, but I cannot login to admitted students website. Numbers 3.6 173 and I wrote the Why Michigan essay. Did not self-select as URM on application.
I can't imagine being rejected at Michigan, but this cycle has been very odd. Strange things are happening, maybe due to the flood of applications this year.

Are you guys with no access to the admitted students site getting red text or a weird error message. When I went to decision I got a weird error message for a day and then was able to log-in the next day. If you're getting red text, it's probably bad news.

Maybe, though generally at places where I've worked IT handles anything that involves granting or denying access to resources. It could easily be setup to take input from anyone, such as an assistant, depending on organizational policy. Some places don't want just anyone in charge of granting or denying access so they make sure a network admin or someone else in IT handles that. Who knows. We need someone who has worked in admissions at a law school to enlighten us!

I also have decision on the status checker. I can't log in to the admitted student site either. I thought my numbers were pretty competitive for Michigan with a 171/3.8. Oh well.

I applied 10/3 and I'm still at complete... Michigan is one of 3 schools (2 of which I would actually attend) that I'm waiting to hear back from... I just wish they'd hurry up and let me know either way.

I'm not sure what this means for me... I went decision today as well, but I have 163/3.84. It was definitely a reach for me. Maybe it's good and I got in with all of the other high numbers?

are people's numbers from the 1/11 update significantly better or worse than the 1/9 decision kids? we could be looking at one wave of dings/waitlists and another of acceptances.

I'm not sure exactly when i turned to decision, but i think its a good sign that you're not at decision. My numbers point to rejection and i turned to decision. (don't want to be in my wave).

Ok, I'm thinking this isn't one homogenous round of decisions. With the wide range of numbers we're seeing, there must be both rejections and acceptances coming out.

That sounds reasonable - LSP puts me at auto-admit for michigan, so I'm not counting myself out just yet

Decision rendered on 1/11 and no access to ASW either. I thought I was very competitive for Michigan maybe not all of the decisions are rejections.

Thanks, but a lot of people are saying it was either 1/9 or 1/11. 1/9 being a saturday...

so since i didn't check the status until today, there's no way to tell if i'm of the 1/9 or 1/11 wave?
