Yes I am. In a way, they had two chances to reject me...and they haven't...

How about yourself?

Still waiting for a response.

Tram is encouraging me to write them a LOCI to let them know they're my number one. I've only been complete a month. So I'm worried about whether or not I should do this.

Do it! It can only help. I know people from past cycles that have done this and it appeared to have worked in their favor (not for BC though.)

Thing is, I've already sent them an application update (I received department honors in my major as well as an updated transcript).

So yet another letter wouldn't be too annoying? I think I will call admissions tomorrow or tuesday and ask them if it's a good idea to send them a LOCI to let them know that BC is my first choice. Calling would probably be the least-risk scenario. Hopefully, they'll tell me it's okay to send one through. What do you guys think?

Ah cherry that's a bit different. I didn't know those details. I was hoping you could mention other things, such as a higher gpa. In this case, I probably wouldn't send it. See what vibe you get after you call.

Well at least if they put me on WL, I'll be ready instantly with my letter lol. I wrote it today.

I think one is fine. What more can you possibly add in an additional LOCI?

LOCI should be at least half a page to a page so finding that much to say would be difficult, lol.

LOCIs are essentially love letters to the school. Writing two love letters without saying the same thing is a big challenge. So I'd say no to more than one. :)

Yeah I agree. I did send quite a few to UVA since I had a lot of updates but that's my exception.

No, my super locked the mailroom over the weekend (read: absolute hell for me) and I checked it on my way out this morning. Probably came Friday or Saturday.

Me too! They still haven't even changed my status since being put on hold though. On the plus side, they definitely do seem more holistic than most schools. They were okay with me sending in some published articles in addition to my LOCI, something I feel like most schools would probably not be cool with.

They told EA hold applicants that we would hear a decision by Feb. 26.

Well I guess it could be next week. EA applicants who were held are supposed to hear back by the 26th, but I guess they could mail a decision the 26th as well. I'm hoping this won't be the case for me though.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
