You're on the SPWL which is the highest group.SUNY1995 wrote:How do I know if I am on the preferred waitlist or the special preferred waitlist? In the email I received, it said I was placed "in a special group within our Preferred Waiting List." And is that better than being placed just on the preferred waitlist?

Everyone going to the open house March 23-24th? Wish it would have been during the weekend since I have to take off of work. Anyone know what to expect?

I think they'd consider offers from slightly lower ranked, but still peer schools (Vandy/UCLA/Texas)...my guess is that schools like Northeastern and American won't sway Georgetown at all.latetothis wrote:I'm on the special preferred waiting list. When they say they want to hear about other offers, do they want to know about offers from schools better than Georgetown or all schools? I have multiple full scholarship offers from lower ranked schools (American, Northeastern, etc.) and wondering if I should inform them.

For any other PILS hopeful, I emailed awhile back and inquired about it. I received a reply today telling me that all initial invites have been sent out and that the PILS committee will send out additional invites if space becomes available.

I still haven't received the scholarship feeler email (approximately two weeks out from admission now), but I emailed regarding one of the Scholars programs and am hoping that will serve as a prompt. Will keep you apprised...
