Are there admissions tracking spreadsheets for this cycle like there were for previous cycles? I don't see them anywhere.

I've created individual ones for the schools I OP, but I haven't seen any for all schools.
I'd make one but I'm not that talented lol.

Feels slightly ironic that I worked so hard in undergrad so I could have a strong law school app, and now the process of waiting for my decisions is negatively affecting my performance on final exams...

Just went through all the released 509's and updated my admissions/COA spreadsheet for my schools. Why is Cornell's COL so high?? Is Ithaca super expensive? Tuition there is high enough as it is.

Question about formatting that's probably been answered already but idk where to look.
how are y'all formatting headers? did you put first name last name and lsac # in a header at the top of each page?

I've been doing name, then LSAC # on the line below, and the name of the document on the line below thatMint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Question about formatting that's probably been answered already but idk where to look.

I've similarly noticed my work ethic at my job drop impressively after my applications went in. I've been f5'ing status checkers and TLS for an hour/day at least.. Hope I get in somewhere good with some $$$ because I don't think I'm going to be climbing any corporate ladder here at this rate.jstans wrote:Compulsively checking TLS, status checkers, and email is not conducive to becoming prepared for financial management exams.

for GPA addendum, I had one semester significantly below my average (2.7 VS 3.3), I assume this is appropriate to write an essay on? There is a reason why it decreased.
for an lsat essay, is it a good idea to mention an intent to retake? (or at least "contemplating")

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think TCR for the LSAT bit is that you should say something if you want them to wait for another score before making a decision. If you're waffling, TLS collective wisdom says to err on retaking (as opposed to getting in earlier without retaking).Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:for GPA addendum, I had one semester significantly below my average (2.7 VS 3.3), I assume this is appropriate to write an essay on? not sure if I'm even UR yet lol so I haven't looked into housing costs, but is it possible they over-inflate the costs even though there are lots of cheaper options available?Dodocogon wrote:Just went through all the released 509's and updated my admissions/COA spreadsheet for my schools. you're right. in my case i would have to wait until june, so im wondering if that would change things, I cant really for them to hold me for that long (i assume). if i did, i dont see a benefit since theyll just be admitting others anyway.

I applied in mid October, and have heard back from few places.
If people are applying after you and getting in with lower stats, would you say this is a sign of a sloppy/bad application?

Stop trying to read into things so much. You dont help yourself at all. It could be a sloppy app; it could be such an incredible app they are sending it to their boss (who is very busy) to consider you for a huge scholarship; apps could get sent to different readers who work at different paces (your reader's wife could have just gone into labor! Dude has more important things to worry about that our sanity, and he was told to finish within 10 weeks, not 10 days). It could be a million things that don't have anything to do with the quality of your application, or you could get dinged tomorrow. You won't know til then! You're probsbly fine, though.RamTitan wrote:I applied in mid October, and have heard back from few places.

That method seems to take 3 lines for what could be done in 1 line. And I wanted as much space as theoretically possible for my essays.studyingeveryday wrote:I've been doing name, then LSAC # on the line below, and the name of the document on the line below thatMint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Question about formatting that's probably been answered already but idk where to look.

Both Pages and Word allow you 3-column headers. So I did my full name, LSAC#, and essay title in each column. All done in 1 line.

I am feeling pretty down today about the ED decision from NU. One thing that makes me feel better is that I always had a lingering feeling of "what if". I wanted to see which schools I would get into. So now I will get that chance. Maybe Harvard is actually a real possibility?

I just spent an ungodly amount of time doing an updated "What to Expect When You're Expecting" thread for this cycle for anyone interested because I noticed that some of the older ones were outdated/inaccurate
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
