I was complete 12/7 and had an update 1/25... Northwestern is a top choice for me, so getting nervous...
Looking through your posts, looks like Michigan, Georgetown, Northwestern and Cornell are all "top choices" for you!
It may sound super dumbass-obvious but....anything can happen to you.

Perhaps this poster's use of the article "a" in front of the phrase "top choice", which would indicate it is one, but not the only one, was designed to clear up any confusion you might have about his/her law school preferences

But the use of "a" instead of "the" furthers the confusion - an applicant could have many "top choices" at equal preference if one is not indicated as "the top choice".

Also -- I sent in a late Why NU today after talking with admissions this morning. No word on when the remaining AJD Completes will have decisions, though.

Indeed. There is nothing confusing about that. If we follow your logic: since this poster never indicated one particular school was "the" top choice, it is most likely the case that he/she has many top choices at equal preference, which should have been clear from the article "a". Perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to criticize other posters or insinuate they are dumbasses who cannot recognize the "super obvious".

"Error

Good luck ya'll.
Actually, all decisions, including acceptances, are posted on the Decision Letter Delivery System. If you get that error, it means a decision has not been made. Johann mentions in his tumblr that it actually means a decision letter is being uploaded, but many of us had that error months before receiving a decision, so I'm not sure it's accurate.

Everyone uses the Decision Letter System. Accept/WL/Deny alike. If you're admitted you get the package in the mail later.
You will continue to get that error until your status checker says "Decision letter available."

Na man, it's too late for that. It already shows you were defeated by your own logic. Nice try though.

To everyone placed on hold: condolences, I know that feel. Last year I was placed on hold in the same early February wave as you guys. There will be two "optional" (but not really optional) hold essays, and you'll get info about that soon. Last year the two prompts were 1. if you could meet any fictional character, who and why? and 2. what career would you have chosen if you didn't go into law? There was a 2 page limit (double spaced) for each I think.
Whether you were planning on writing an LOCI or not, just know that more writing is coming. Good luck!!
