It's been awhile since I've dropped by the Berkeley thread - I've come to terms with Cornell - but I'll be goddamned if it hasn't become a tangled mass of exposed nerves up in here.

+1. Just dug into last year's info myself and this is strongly supported.

Also, numbers don't seem to matter in faculty review. Having the same GPA or lsat won't mean much at all in this phase of the game. This is where it gets truly holistic.

numbers are clearly important to reach the FR stage. The most recent wave of rejects seems to be comprised of numbers jusst below 25ths, some just below medians. But in FR stage there has already been a 162 lsat (serviceman w 5 yrs WE) accepted and I have heard from current 1Ls that WE and interesting apps really come into play here. Perhaps FR does have a target median for acceptances but id bet a lot that it's much lower than the dean's admits

Outside of Berk/Stanford, I've pretty much decided on Chicago. Once Berkeley makes a decision, my app season is all but over because there is no way I'm getting into Stanford

Anyone else desperately hoping for a 5:00 p.m. e-mail?! Every day that passes until Friday now I will probably be less and less hopeful. Sometimes I wish I did not read TLS because otherwise I would have been blissfully, though ignorantly, hopeful all week long.
